REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson, Smith, Humphreys, Hickman, Dickson, Rutherford, Giles, Marshall, and Williamson Counties for guardrail repair and installation.

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 9AM-3PM, and Wednesday November 24, 9AM-12PM, (excluding weekends), There will be one lane closed periodically on I-24 in both directions between Exit 24 (Springfield-Ashland City) and Exit 19 (Adams) for vegetation removal overhanging the roadway.

DAVIDSON and RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:Wednesday November 17 through Tuesday November 23, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM and Wednesday November 24, 9AM-12 Noon, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, electrical service, and testing.
  • I-24, both directions, between Briley Pkwy and north of Old Hickory Blvd (MM 43 to MM 39) and between Hickory Hollow Pkwy and Waldron Rd (MM 60 to MM 64)
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 9AM-3PM and Wednesday November 24, 9AM-12PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
  • Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 9AM-3PM and Wednesday November 24, 9AM-12PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for ditch cleaning. 
  • Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM and Wednesday November 24, 9AM-12PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.

DAVDISON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from SR 45 (OHB) to I-65:
  • Wednesday November 17 through Friday November 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures from the I-24/I-65 split eastbound and westbound to the Old Hickory Blvd. exit in order to place permanent pavement markings.
  • Friday November 19, 8PM through Saturday November 20, 12 Midnight, There will be one lane closed on the I-65 northbound to I-24 westbound ramp in order to perform approach slab repairs and texture coat parapets. One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from North of Spring St. to North of I-40:Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound in order to score the shoulders and install permanent pavement markings.

REGION 3, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Interstate and State Routes:Tuesday November 23, 9AM-2PM, There will be mobile operations on I-24 in Rutherford County (MM 70-97) for striping testing.

COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from U.S. 41 (MM 105) to SR-55 (MM 111):  There will be no lane closures necessary during this time period. Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor will be clearing, relocating utilities and installing barrier rail.  The contractor will have a lane closure on I-24 East between MM 151 - 153 from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM to install portable barrier rail. One lane of traffic will remain open at all times. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 
 
HAMILTON, BRADLEY, and MARION COUNTIES, I-75 / I-24 / SR-153 / SR-29 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. There also may be weeknight lane closures throughout the project between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, nighttime weekend lane closures between the hours of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, and intermittent temporary stoppages of traffic (less than 15 minutes) at various locations throughout the project area to allow the contractor to perform ITS work. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is December 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, rehabilitation of the bridge on I-24 East over the U.S. 27 ramp to I-24 East (MM 177-179) and the bridge on South Seminole Drive over I-24 (MM 181-183): The contractor will have nighttime lane closures in both I-24 work zones from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM Sundays through Thursdays to perform bridge rehabilitation work. At least one lane will be maintained at all times. At the I-24 Eastbound bridge site, a traffic shift is now in place, and I-24 East traffic will utilize the marked two-lane Exit 178 off-ramp as an I-24 East detour so the contactor can perform work on the bridge deck of I-24 East over U.S. 27 North in downtown Chattanooga. This traffic shift will be in place until the project is completed. I-24 westbound traffic will not be affected. TheSouth Seminole Bridge over I-24 in Chattanooga is now reduced single-lane bridge. This one-lane operation is necessary to make repairs to the concrete deck surface of the bridge. Traffic signals have been installed at each end of the bridge to regulate the flow of traffic through the area. This one-lane traffic operation will remain in place while the repairs to the bridge are being completed. Motorists are advised to anticipate short delays when traveling through this area. Estimated project completion date is November 2010.

UNICOI COUNTY, I-26 between Mile Markers 36 and 40: Motorists should be alert for lane closures during daylight hours through this resurfacing project. Motorists should expect possible delays and use extreme caution traveling through this area.

SHELBY COUNTY, Seismic Retrofit on the bridge on I-40 over the Mississippi River
  • Various closures for existing six lane cross-section (arch spans and westward):
    • Wednesday November 17, midnight - 7:00 a.m.: There will be one eastbound and one westbound lane closed.
    • Wednesday November 17, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: There will be two eastbound lanes and one westbound lane closed.
  • Various closures for existing four lane section (east of the arch spans):
    • Wednesday November 17, 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: There will be one eastbound and one westbound lane closed.
  • NOTE: One lane of each ramp will be closed for about an hour on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. The other lane will be open at all times. The closure is contingent upon the weather. Work can be completed if the deck is dry for 24 hours and the temperature is at least 40 degrees.

REGION IV On-Call Guardrail:Wednesday November 17 through Wednesday November 24, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail and cable rail.
  • I-40, Haywood County, westbound (MM 55.0 to MM 54.0), one lane to remain open.
  • I-40, Haywood County, westbound (MM 66.0 to MM 49.0), one lane to remain open.
  • I-40, Haywood County, westbound (MM 66.0 to MM 65.2), one lane to remain open.
  • I-40, Madison County, westbound (MM 78.5 to MM 77.8), one lane to remain open.
  • I-40, Madison County, westbound and eastbound (MM 83.0 to MM 84.0), one lane to remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson/Madison Counties, eastbound & westbound (MM 102.0 to MM 123.0), one lane to remain open.
  • I-40, Henderson County, westbound (MM 118.5 to MM 117.0), one lane to remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project) Wednesday November 17 and Thursday November 18, 10PM-5AM, Closure of two inside lanes I-40 eastbound and westbound for placement of temporary movable barrier wall. One lane will remain open both directions.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Bridge Repair:Thursday November 18, 8PM-4AM, There will be two left lanes closed on I-40 westbound at MM 205 for bridge deck repair.
 
REGION 3, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Interstate and State Routes:
·         Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations on I-40 in Smith County (MM 250-259) for striping
·         Friday November 19, 8PM through Monday November 22, 5AM, There will be mobile operations on I-40 in Smith County (MM 250-259) for striping.

PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 rockfall mitigation at various locations: The contractor will have a right shoulder closure in order to work on the project. Nighttime lane closures will be needed to set barrier rail to route traffic around construction activities. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Each lane has been narrowed to a 10 foot width.  The possibility exists daily for potential traffic pacing due to rock blasting activities.  Emergency lane closures on an as needed basis will be implemented during daylight hours to accommodate pothole repair.  All other lane closures will be from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from SR-136 (MM 287, LM 19.65) to Falling Water River (MM 292, LM 24.16): The contractor will have nighttime lane and shoulder closures on I-40 from 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM Sunday through Thursday nights to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained in each direction at all times. Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
ROANE COUNTY, I-40 West between Mile Markers 341 and 342:On Monday, November 22, 2010, motorists should be alert for a left lane closure between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. as crews perform roadway maintenance. Motorists should be alert for slowed traffic, expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East and West Bridge over the Pigeon River Overflow near Mile Markers 440: Motorists should be alert for lane closures around the clock through this bridge repair project. There is a wide load detour in effect for I-40 West traffic with loads wider than 14 feet. Traffic traveling I-40 West with loads in excess of 14 feet wide must use exit 440 and follow signed detour route. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.

  • I-55, Shelby County, southbound Exit 5B, to continue onto I-55 SB @ I-240 junction, ramp shift right.
  • I-55, Shelby County, southbound (MM 5.5 to MM 4.9), two lanes to remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound (MM 7.0 to MM 7.7), two lanes to remain open.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is no access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Motorists should use the Third Street Exit (Exit 7) and detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed. Motorists should use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
  • Wednesday November 17 through Wednesday November 23, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures northbound (Mile Marker 8 to Mile Marker 9) in order to perform bridge construction between Bridges 1 & 2. One northbound lane will remain open.
  • Wednesday November 24, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures northbound (Mile Marker 8 to Mile Marker 9) in order to perform bridge construction between Bridges 1 & 2. One northbound lane will remain open.
  • Wednesday November 17, 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Existing northbound I-55 will be switched to newly constructed lanes. Memphis Police Department will assist with rolling road blocks. The traffic swap is expected to be complete by noon with no effect on southbound I-55.

DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair over the Mississippi River: 
  • Wednesday November 17 through Tuesday November 23: Beginning at Mile Marker 9 in Missouri and extending to Mile Marker 1 in Tennessee.  There will be one eastbound & one westbound lane closed. This work is for the re-painting of the steel structure and for concrete repairs and is a 24 hour closure.
  • Wednesday November 24, 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.: Beginning at Mile Marker 9 in Missouri and extending to Mile Marker 1 in Tennessee.  There will be one eastbound & one westbound lane closed. This work is for the re-painting of the steel structure and for concrete repairs.

 
I-65

REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson, Smith, Humphreys, Hickman, Dickson, Rutherford, Giles, Marshall, and Williamson Counties for guardrail repair and installation.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 (Goose Creek) to SR 96
  • Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating one lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound between SR 96 and the bridge over the Harpeth River for the removal of guardrail, installation of barrier rail, milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

TDOT Utilities:Sunday November 21, 7AM-9AM, Cable will cross on I-65 at the mile marker 74.2 in Williamson County. This request, by Comcast for overhead installation of an interduct with Fiber Optic Cable. Two rolling stop blocks are expected, six police cars will be present.

  • Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound in order to relocate barrier rail and pour bridge deck.
  • Thursday November 18 through Tuesday November 23, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to relocate barrier rail and pour bridge deck.
  • Saturday November 20, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to work on sidewalks.


FUTURE I-69
 
OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21
  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69. A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.

HAMILTON COUNTY, design-build project from I-75 Enterprise South interchange to SR-317 (Apison Pike) at Old Lee Hwy.: The contractor is currently installing construction signs and will begin work on the bridge to connect the interchange at Exit 9 to SR-317 at Old Lee Hwy. Estimated completion date is December 2012.
