Middle Tennessee Construction Report for November 24 - December 1

There will be no temporary interstate or state route closures from Noon on Wednesday, November 24 through 6 a.m. Monday, November 29.
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project)
  • No planned lane closures
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-65 at the junction with SR 12 (Rosa Parks Blvd.)
  • Monday, November 29 through Wednesday, December 1, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 north and southbound in order to relocate barrier rail and remove a bridge overhang.
  • Monday, November 29 through Wednesday, December 1, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to relocate barrier rail and switch traffic to the new phase.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 ramp to Old Hickory Blvd (Brentwood)
  • No planned lane closures
DAVDISON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from SR 45 (OHB) to I-65
  • Monday, November 29 through Wednesday, December 1, 8PM-6AM, There will be lane closures from the I-24/I-65 split east and westbound to the Old Hickory Blvd. exit in order to texture coat the parapet median wall.
DAVIDSON and WILLIAMSON COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:
  • Monday, November 29 through Wednesday, December 1, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, electrical service, and testing. 
·         I-24, both directions, between Briley Pkwy and north of Old Hickory Blvd (MM 43 to MM 39) and between Hickory Hollow Pkwy and Waldron Rd (MM 60 to MM 64)
·         Vietnam Veterans, both directions, between I-65 and New Shackle Island (MM 0 to MM 5)
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing: US 431 (Hillsboro Rd.) from Bridalway Dr. to Harding Place and Installation of Turn Lanes at Kingsbury Dr.
  • Monday, November 29 through Wednesday, December 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hillsboro Rd. and at Kingsbury Dr. in order to install guardrail and to install permanent pavement markings. Flaggers will be utilized for this operation.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Hillsboro Road (SR 106)
  • Monday, November 29 through Wednesday, December 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures on Hillsboro Rd. in order to complete paving and install permanent pavement markings.
REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:
  • Monday, November 29 and Tuesday, November 30, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson, Humphreys, Hickman, Dickson, Rutherford, Giles, Marshall, Maury, and Williamson Counties for guardrail repair and installation.
REGION 3, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Interstate and State Routes
  • Tuesday, November 30, 9AM-2PM, There will be mobile operations on I-24 in Rutherford County (MM 70-97) for striping testing.
  • Wednesday, December 1, 9AM-2PM, There will be mobile operations on I-40 in Smith County (MM 250-259) for striping testing.
 CHEATHAM COUNTY, Slide Repair on SR 249
  • Now through approximately December 15, SR 249 at LM 4.6 north of Pegram will be closed for emergency slide repair. Detours will be in place.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 13 (Wilma Rudolph) over the Red River
  • Monday, November 29 through Wednesday, December 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. (SR 13) southbound over the Red River in order to perform bridge work.
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Widening on Waldron Rd (Recovery Act Project)
  • Wednesday November 17 through Wednesday November 24: No closures scheduled.
SUMNER COUNTY, SR 109 Widening from SR 76 To SR 52
  • Wednesday November 17 through Wednesday November 24: No closures scheduled.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 (Goose Creek) to SR 96
  • Monday, November 29 through Wednesday, December 1, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating one lane closures on I-65 north and southbound between SR 96 and the bridge over the Harpeth River for paving and placement of shoulder stone in order to shift traffic. One lane will remain open.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Concord Rd. from Sunset Rd. to Edmondson Pike
  • Monday, November 29 through Tuesday, November 30, 9AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed on Concord Road from Crockett Rd. to Sunset for building golf cart/walk path and dressing slopes. Flaggers will be utilized for this operation. 
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Slide Repair on SR 96 near Natchez Trace Pkwy.
  • No lane closures scheduled.
WILSON COUNTY, SR-171 (Mt Juliet Road) Widening: (Recovery Act Project)
  • Monday, November 29 through Wednesday, December 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures on Mt. Juliet Road (SR-171) northbound and southbound, from Division Street to Lebanon Road for the purpose of performing excavation, installation of storm sewer, and paving
WILSON COUNTY, SR 109 widening from I-40 to SR 24
  • No lane closures scheduled.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
Davidson County
  • Monday November 29 through Wednesday December 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
  • Monday November 29 through Wednesday December 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for ditch cleaning. 
  • Monday November 29 through Wednesday December 1, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.
  • Monday November 29 through Wednesday December 1, 8PM-5AM, There will be 2 lanes closed on I-65 southbound and northbound at State Route 840 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.
 
TDOT Utilities
  • Monday, November 29 and Tuesday, November 30 7PM-6AM, on SR-11,at 5828 Nolensville Pike 1500' south of Old Hickory Blvd in Davidson County.This request, by Mill Cross Construction Co. to tap into water main and pour flowable fill.

  • Monday, November 29 through Tuesday, Wednesday December 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane closures at the following intersection for improvements. (Harding Place & Antioch Pike, Bell Rd. & Cane Ridge Rd., Nolensville Rd. & Elysian Fields Rd., Harding Place & Trousdale Dr.)
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
