Detour Preparations for Henley Bridge Will Lead to Temporary Lane Closures

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Motorists using Sevierville Pike at the James White Parkway intersection next week need to be aware of temporary lane closures beginning Monday, November 8 between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m while crews remove sections of the concrete island to prepare for re-paving and re-striping. 
 
Tennessee Department of Transportation contractor Britton Bridge, LLC. has also secured barges under the south side of the Henley Bridge in the Tennessee River. The United States Coast Guard and area mariners will be notified about the barge that is expected to remain in the construction area until June 2013.
