Final First Lady Series of 2010 to Present the Sweet Sounds of Tennessee

NASHVILLE – November’s First Lady Series will present a variety of musical styles in an event entitled “Country, Folk, Gospel and Soul: The Sweet Sounds of Tennessee,” featuring Robert Oermann and friends.
 
“Robert Oermann is a respected music critic, author and historian, and I know he’ll bring wonderful insights about the music of Tennessee to our last First Lady Series event of 2010,” said Tennessee First Lady Andrea Conte.
 
The event on Tuesday, November 16, is open to the public at no charge; however, seating is limited and reservations are required. A reception will precede the event at 5 p.m., and the program will begin promptly at 5:45 p.m.

Parking is available at Judson Baptist Church, which is located at 4900 Franklin Pike. A shuttle service will begin at 4:45 p.m. Parking will not be available at the Residence.
 
The First Lady Series is a monthly event hosted by Conte in Conservation Hall. Previous First Lady Series topics included a student town hall with Tennessee’s gubernatorial candidates, a discussion on the civil rights movement in Tennessee, a lecture on the role women played during the Civil War, a panel discussion on the rise of partisan politics and the impact of war on families.
