KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- Motorists traveling northbound on Chapman Highway (US 441) should be alert for new traffic patterns at the Moody Avenue intersection. On Wednesday afternoon, December 29, 2010, crews reconfigured the traffic lanes at this intersection in preparation for the Henley Bridge closure which will occur at 12:01 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2011.

Two northbound lanes of Chapman Highway at Moody Avenue must now turn right onto East Moody Avenue towards James White Parkway to access the detour route. Left turns from northbound Chapman Highway onto West Moody Avenue are now prohibited. Northbound motorists wishing to continue straight on Chapman Highway must merge left into the single straight through lane approaching this intersection.

Motorists should use extreme caution and be alert for changed conditions traveling in this area.
