Weekly Construction Report for Tri-Cities & Northeast Tennessee - February 11-17

Changed Conditions or New Projects: 
 
Washington County, SR 400 bridge over Brush Creek (Bridge Replacement): Weather permitting, the contractor will install construction signs the week of February 8 and 15.
 
Washington County, Flourville Road bridges over Boones Creek (Bridge and Box Replacement): Weather permitting, the contractor will install construction signs the week of February 8 and 15.
 
Ongoing Projects: 
 
Carter County, SR 400 from East Mill Street to SR 67 (Broad Street): 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. motorists should be alert for intermittent lane closures and traffic delays on Lynn Ave (SR 400) from Mill Street to Elk Ave. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment on or near the roadway.
 
Carter County, SR 400 (Lynn Avenue) over Watauga River (Bridge Replacement): Intermittent lane closures will be implemented in both lanes throughout the project. Motorists should be aware of construction equipment on and near the highway and workers near the roadway.
 
Carter County, SR 67 between SR 159 (US 321) and Johnson County Line (Bridge Repair): SR67 is reduced to one lane throughout the duration of the project with a temporary traffi signal installed to direct traffic at the bridge.  Due to LANE WIDTH restrictions, any vehicle wider than 11 feet will need to find an alternate route to reach their destination. Motorists should expect traffic delays and allow extra time for travel. 
 
 
Sullivan County, SR 75 between Washington County Line and Herron Drive (Bridge Replacement): The contractor is conducting preparatory work on both sides of the bridge for future deck panel installation. Motorists are asked to use caution and watch for equipment and workers at or near the roadway.
 
Sullivan County, SR 126 between West Central Street and Plainview Drive (Small Drainage Structure): Traffic has been temporarily shifted in this area. Motorists are asked to use caution in this area as workers begin replacing an existing drainage structure. Construction equipment will be entering and exiting the area.
 
Sullivan County, SR 126 between SR 75 and Franklin Drive (Small Drainage Structures): Traffic has been temporarily shifted in this area. Motorists are asked to use caution as workers begin replacing an existing drainage structure. Motorists need to be alert to equipment entering and exiting the area.
 
Washington County, Bob Davis Road and Sid Martin Road (Bridge Replacement):  Both Sid Martin Road and Bob Davis Road are currently closed for construction of a new bridge on Bob Davis Road.  The roads will be closed throughout the duration of the project which has an estimated completion date of April 30, 2010. Motorists are asked to use caution in this area and to follow the Detour Signs that have been placed.
