TDOT to Join Anchor Trailways & Tours to Launch Intercity
Transit Route from Nashville to Memphis
 
 
MEMPHIS – Representatives fromTennessee Department of Transportation and Anchor Trailways & Tours will hold a ribbon cutting Wednesday, April 28, 2010 to celebrate the launch of a new daily intercity bus service between Nashville and Memphis.  The service is funded by a federal grant administered through TDOT’s Intercity Bus Demonstration Program. The daily round-trip bus service will operate seven days a week with stops at both the Memphis and Nashville airports and Greyhound stations, the Memphis Amtrak Station, Atoka, Ripley, Dyersburg, Union City, Martin, Dresden, Paris, Camden, Holladay, Dickson, Kingston Springs, the Vanderbilt Medical Arts Building and the Music City Star Train Station.
 
Wednesday’s event will begin at 1:00 p.m. CT, at the MATA Central Station / Amtrak, 545 South Main Street. The event will last approximately 30 minutes.
