JACKSON, Tenn. – Work is underway to construct the future Interstate 69 in Obion County from just south of State Route 5/SR-22 to just west of SR-21. The work will require the extended closure of three county roads for the construction of a new bridge for I-69. Beginning May 3, 2010, crews will close Brevard Road, George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road to through traffic. Detour signs will be posted to guide drivers around the construction area.  The roads will be closed until November 3, 2011. Local residents will continue to have access to property in the area.

Ford Construction Company is the prime contractor on the $29.9 million project. The total project is estimated to be completed by October 15, 2012.
