TWRA Plans Presentation in Monteagle

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will present new information about fishing and hunting during a presentation to be held in Monteagle on Thursday, April 8 beginning at 6 p.m. at the Smoke House Restaurant and Resort.
 
The featured speakers for TWRA’s road show will be Bobby Wilson, Assistant Fisheries Division Chief, who be talking about the latest agency efforts toward improving Tennessee’s growing muskie fishery. Dan Hicks Region II Information and Education Specialist will present information about Tennessee Elk Restoration Program.
 
Agency officials are looking forward to making the trip to Monteagle for the presentation. The Fiery Gizzard Sportsman’s Club of Tracy City is serving as host for the event.
 
“As an agency, we welcome the opportunity to visit different communities and get the message out about the TWRA and is diversity of programs and services,” said Don King, Chief of Information and Education. “I want to thank the Fiery Gizzard Sportsman’s Club for hosting the event. Local hunting and fishing clubs around the state like the Fiery Gizzard are a vital part of maintaining the resources of our state that so many Tennessee residents who enjoy the outdoors value so highly.”
 
There are no reservations required for the event. The Smoke House is located at 850 West Main in Monteagle.
