Thursday, April 08, 2010 | 05:55am
NASHVILLE – – Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will reduce Interstate 65 North and South in Sumner County to one lane this weekend in order to begin repairs to the bridges that cross over US 31W (Springfield Highway). I-65 at mile marker 98 will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Friday, April 9, 2010 at 8:00 p.m. until Monday, April 12 at 6:00 a.m.

This weekend’s lane reduction is one of several weekend lane closures planned on I-65 as crews work to repair the northbound and southbound bridge deck surfaces at mile marker 98, just north of the Davidson County line. All work is dependent on favorable weather conditions.

Law enforcement officers will be on site in the work zone to provide traffic control as the work is being completed. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and expect delays. TDOT also asks drivers to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones across the state.
