I-24

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:

       Thursday June 10 through Wednesday June 16, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Davidson County in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

       Thursday June 10 through Wednesday June 16, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control.  This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes. 

       Thursday June 10 through Wednesday June 16, 7PM-5AM, (excluding weekends), Two right lanes will be closed on I-24 westbound from mile marker 39 to mile marker 43 for milling and paving.  One lane will remain open.

 

ROBERTSON & CHEATHAM COUNTIES, Resurfacing on I-24: Sunday June 13 through Wednesday June 16, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound from MM 17.0 to MM 31.0 for milling and paving operations.

 

REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:  Thursday June 10 through Wednesday June 16, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Wilson, Williamson and Smith Counties for guardrail repair and installation.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, ITS Phase III:

       Thursday June 10 through Wednesday June 16, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.

o    I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Rd (MM 40 to MM 61)

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from Haywood Lane to Rutherford Co. line:  Monday June 14 through Wednesday June 16, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating two lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound in order to mill and pave the roadway. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.

 

REGION 3 Installation of Cable Barrier:  Thursday June 10 through Wednesday June 16, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on the following routes in order to install cable barrier rail.

       I-24 EB & WB                           

o    MM 34-45 Davidson County

o    MM 73-76 Rutherford County    

o    MM 95-96 Rutherford County

 

COFFEE/GRUNDY COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing from MM 125 to MM 132:  This is a nighttime paving project that will take place on I-24 East and West on Sundays through Thursdays between the hours of 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.  One lane will remain open to traffic at all times.  Estimated completion date is July 2010. 

 

HAMILTON, BRADLEY, and MARION COUNTIES, I-75 / I-24 / SR-153 / SR-29 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga:  The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction.  On weekdays during non-peak hours, the contractor will have a right lane closure on SR-29 South at MM 2.5.  Three lanes are to remain open with third available lane used as acceleration lane for on-ramp from Manufacturers Road.  There also may be weeknight lane closures throughout the project between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, nighttime weekend lane closures between the hours of 10:00 PM and 10:00 AM, and intermittent temporary stoppages of traffic (less than 15 minutes) at various locations throughout the project area to allow the contractor to perform ITS work.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Estimated completion date is December 2010.

       Thursday June 10, 4AM-7AM:  There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound bridge located @ MM 101 to relocate equipment from the median to the eastbound side of the bridge.  THP will assist with lane closures on I-40.

       Monday June 14 through Wednesday June 16, 4AM-7AM: There will be periodic lane closures on I-40 eastbound bridge located @ MM 101 to relocate equipment from the median to the eastbound side of the bridge.  THP will assist with lane closures on I-40.

 

DECATUR COUNTY-Resurfacing on I-40 from the CARROLL CO. line LM-0.00 to the BENTON CO. line LM-5.67: Sunday June 13 through Friday June 18, 7PM-6AM, There will be night time lane closures eastbound and westbound (MM 121 to MM 126) in order to perform striping operations.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

 

DICKSON, HICKMAN, and HUMPHREYS CCOUNTIES, TDOT Maintenance:

       Thursday June 10 through Wednesday June 16, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on I-40 in Dickson, Hickman, and Humphreys Counties in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

CHEATHAM COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:

       Thursday June 10 through Wednesday June 16,  9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends),There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound in Cheatham County between mile marker 189 and mile marker 191 in order to patch potholes and repair concrete on bridge deck.  One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange: (Recovery Act Project)  Tuesday June 15 or Wednesday June 16, 8PM-12 Midnight. There will be one lane closed on I-40 westbound in order to close the gap in the barrier wall.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on New Hope Rd. over I-40

       Thursday June 10, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to paint the bearing pads on the bridge.

       Thursday June 10, 7AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on New Hope Rd. in order to install guardrail at the bridge.  Flaggers will be used.

 

WILSON COUNTY, TDOT Utilities:  Sunday June 13, 7AM-11AM, On I-40 at mile marker 223.6, 2.2 miles west of Mount Juliet Exit in Wilson County.  This request by Middle Tennessee Electric, for changing an existing single phase line to a three phase line that now crosses I-40. Four rolling stop blocks are expected, police cars will be present.

 

PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 rockfall mitigation at various locations:  The contractor will have a right shoulder closure in order to work on the project.  Nighttime lane closures will be needed to set barrier rail to route traffic around construction activities.  One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times.  Each lane has been narrowed to a 10 foot width.  The possibility exists daily for a potential rolling road block due to rock blasting activities.  Emergency lane closures on an as needed basis will be implemented during daylight hours to accommodate pothole repair.  All other lane closures will be from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.  Estimated completion date is July 2010.

 

PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from MM 300 to MM 304:  The contractor will have nighttime lane closures from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning for resurfacing activities.  Estimated completion date is July 2010.

 

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from MM 304 to MM 306:  The contractor will have nighttime lane closures from 7:00 PM until 6:00 AM the following morning for resurfacing activities.  Estimated completion date is July 2010. 

 

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East and West between Rutledge Pike (Exit 392) and the Holston River Bridge (MM 395): Motorists should be alert for lane closures in both directions on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. through this resurfacing project . Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution through this area.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue:  I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction.  Currently there is no access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Motorists should use the Third Street Exit (Exit 7) and detour to Mallory.  Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed. Motorists should use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.

       Wednesday June 9 through Wednesday June 16, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures northbound (MM 8 to MM 9) in order to perform bridge construction (Bridge 1, Mallory Ave. overpass).  One northbound lane will remain open.

REGION IV Maintenance

       Wednesday June 9 through Wednesday June 16, 9AM-3PM, There will possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to fix washed out areas.

DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair:  Wednesday June 9 through Wednesday June 16, 7AM-7AM, Beginning at MM 9 in Missouri and extending to MM 1 in Tennessee.  There will be one eastbound & one westbound lane closed.  This work is for the re-painting of the steel structure and for concrete repairs and is a 24 hour closure.

 

DYER COUNTY Resurfacing and Bridge Deck Repairs on I-155 near the rest area LM-9.00 to US-51(SR-3) LM-15.93

       Wednesday June 9 through Wednesday June 16, 7AM-7PM, Beginning at LM-9.00 and extending to LM-15.93.  There will be one eastbound & one westbound lane closed.  This work is for milling, resurfacing and traffic counter installation on I-155.

       Wednesday June 9 through Wednesday June 16, 7AM-7PM, Beginning at LM-0.00 and extending to LM-1.00.  There will be one eastbound & one westbound lane closed.  This work is for milling, resurfacing and traffic counter installation on I-155.

       Friday June 11 through Monday June 14, 7PM-5 AM, The interchange of I-155/U.S. 51 and U.S. 412/S.R. 3 ramp will be closed for bridge repair work.  There will be a detour on state routes delineated using changeable message units.  If this work is not completed in one weekend, the work will resume on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 7:00 PM and complete on Monday, June 14 at 5:00 AM.

       Monday June 14 through Wednesday June 16, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating closures on I-65 northbound and southbound in order to erect the steel bridge beams and remove the bridge deck.

 

 

FUTURE I-69

 

OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21: CLOSED thru November 3, 2011, Brevard Road, George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road is closed to through traffic.  Detour signs will be posted to guide drivers around the construction area

 

 

I-75

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 widening project from 1.1 miles south of Lee Highway (SR-2, US-11) to 1.2 miles north of Lee Highway (SR-2, SR-11):  The contractor will have a lane closure on I-75 North and South between the hours of 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM to accommodate new concrete paving operations.  One lane of traffic will remain open at all times.  The contractor will have lane closures on Hill Top Road, Hunter Road, Snow Hill Road, Mountain View Road, Lee Highway, and Old Lee Highway from 8:30 AM until 7:00 PM to construct new roadway and accommodate bridge construction.  However, the contractor must move off the roadway from 2:30 PM until 3:00 PM each day during the shift change at Miller Industries.  One lane will remain open at all times. Estimated completion date is December 2010. 

 

MCMINN COUNTY, I-75 resurfacing from north of MM 39 (LM 4) to the rest area at MM 45 (LM 10):  This is a nighttime paving project that will take place on I-75 North and South on Sundays through Thursdays between the hours of 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM.  One lane will remain open to traffic at all times.  Estimated completion date is June 2010. 

 

ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 118 and 123: Motorists should be alert for nightly lane closures Sunday nights through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, use extreme caution and expect potential long delays traveling through this area.

 

ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 South between Exit 128 (Lake City) and Mile Marker 127: On Monday, June 14, 2010 motorists should be alert for a right lane closure in this area between the hours of 9 a.m. and Noon. Motorists should be alert for workers present, equipment entering and exiting the roadway and use extreme caution through this noise wall construction project.

I-81

 

SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 57 and 63: Motorists should be alert for lane closures on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project.  Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present and use extreme caution traveling through this area.

 

 

Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
