Bridge Repairs to Close Lanes on Interstate 40 in Henderson County

Wednesday, June 23, 2010 | 10:50am
JACKSON, Tenn. – Crews working to replace a bridge over Interstate 40 in Henderson County will again reduce I-40 to one lane in each direction this weekend. Beginning Saturday, June 26 through Sunday, June 27 from 6:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. each day, I-40 at mile marker 101 will be reduced to one lane both east and westbound as crews install new bridge beams on State Route 104.  Traffic will be diverted onto the ramps over State Route 104 and back onto the Interstate.

Similar closures in the past have resulted in minor delays, but motorists should continue to plan ahead and avoid the area if possible.
