TDOT to Announce Decision on Future State Route 475 (Knoxville Beltway) Plans

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Gerald Nicely will announce a decision on the future of State Route 475 (Knoxville Beltway) at an event in Knoxville on Friday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. eastern time.
 
The SR-475 project, also known as the Knoxville Beltway and the Orange Route, originated in the 1990’s. In 2003, it was one of 15 contentious projects selected for review when Governor Bredesen’s Administration took office.   
 
The announcement will be made Friday, June 25 at 2:00 p.m. (ET) in the auditorium of the TDOT Region One Complex in Knoxville.
