Third Annual TWRA District 32 Dove Hunt Scheduled for Sept. 11

CROSSVILLE--- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency will host its third annual District 32 Youth Dove Hunt at the Hiwassee Refuge from noon until sunset on Saturday, Sept. 11.
 
The Hiwassee Refuge in Birchwood is located in the heart of TWRA Region III’s District 32 which consists of Bledsoe, Bradley, Grundy, Hamilton, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Polk, Rhea, Roane, and Sequatchie counties.
 
The hunt is open to youths ages 9 to 15 who have successfully completed the Hunter’s Education Program and is limited to the first 100 youths registered online. To register, send an e-mail to philearhart@bellsouth.net with the child's name, name of non-hunting adult, age, and phone number. Successful applicants will be notified by the TWRA and given additional specific instructions regarding the event at that time.
 
Each youth must be accompanied by a non-hunting adult at least 21 years of age throughout the entire event. Hunt participants will be provided with a complimentary lunch, educational and safety presentations, skeet shooting range as well as some door prizes donated by the TWRA and other local sponsors.
