DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project)

  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25: No closures scheduled.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-65 at the junction with SR 12 (Rosa Parks Blvd.)
  • Saturday August 21, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to perform bridge work and drainage construction.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Median Drainage Improvement on I-24 near MM 53.0
  • Thursday 19, 9PM-5AM, The left lane of I-24 eastbound will be closed in order to set barrier rail and install drainage.
  • Friday August 20, 9PM through Monday August 23, 5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-24 eastbound and westbound near MM 53.0 in order to set barrier rail and install base stone and paving operations.
 DAVIDSON and WILLIAMSON COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
  • Briley Pkwy, both directions, between I-40 and Centennial Blvd (MM 6 to MM 27)
  • I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Rd (MM 40 to MM 61)
  • I-40, both directions, between US 70 and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 196 to MM 222)
  • I-65, both directions, between Concord Rd and Long Hollow Pkwy (MM 70 to MM 97)
  • I-440, both directions, between Hillsboro Pike and I-24 (MM 3 to MM 7)
  • Ellington Pkwy, both directions, between Briley Pkwy and Spring St
    • Vietnam Veterans, both directions, between I-65 and New Shackle Island (MM 0 to MM 5)
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 255 (Harding Place) from Franklin Rd. to Recovery Rd.
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on Harding Place in order to mill, adjust utility boxes, install guardrail and pave the roadway. One lane will remain open in each direction.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 251 (River Rd.) from the Cheatham Co. line to Old Charlotte Pike
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 7AM-3PM, (excluding Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 251 in order to pave the roadway. Flaggers will be utilized.
REGION 3 On-Call Guardrail:
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 8PM-6AM, (each night), There will be one lane closures at various locations on interstates and state routes in Davidson, Smith, Williamson, Maury, Marshall, Giles, Montgomery and Robertson Counties for guardrail repair and installation.
CHEATHAM COUNTY, Slide Repair on SR 249
  • Beginning Monday August 23, SR 249 at LM 4.6 north of Pegram will be closed until December 15 for emergency slide repair. Detours will be in place.
DICKSON COUNTY, I-40 Emergency Slide Repair
  • Thursday August 19 through Tuesday August 24, 9AM-3PM, (each day), There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound at MM 180.5 for emergency slide repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.
MAURY COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 near Industrial Park Rd. to US 31
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 6 in order to pave the roadway.
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 13 (Wilma Rudolph) over the Red River
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. (SR 13) southbound over the Red River in order to perform bridge work.
  • Tuesday August 24 through Friday August 27, 8PM-6AM, Traffic will be reduced to one lane on Wilma Rudolph Blvd. in order to set bridge beams. Flaggers and police officers will be utilized for this operation.
RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Widening on Waldron Rd (Recovery Act Project)
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25: No closures scheduled.
SUMNER COUNTY, SR 109 Widening from SR 76 To SR 52
  • Thursday August 19, 7PM-6AM, SR 109 will be reduced to one lane for removal of existing box culvert and installation of new concrete pipe.
SUMNER COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 from Kathy Circle to Westland Ave.
  • Thursday August 19 through Tuesday August 24, 8PM-6AM, (each night, excluding weekends), There will be one lane closed on SR 6 in each direction for milling and paving.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Concord Rd. from Sunset Rd. to Edmondson Pike
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed on Concord Road from Crockett Rd. to Sunset for building golf cart/walk path and dressing slopes. Flaggers will be utilized for this operation. 
  • Now through approximately Thursday September 30, Concord Rd. will be closed from Edmondson Pike to Crockett Rd. in order to widen the roadway. Detours will be in place with message boards.
WILSON COUNTY, SR-171 (Mt Juliet Road) Widening: (Recovery Act Project)
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be temporary lane closures on Mt. Juliet Road (SR-171) northbound and southbound, from Division Street to Lebanon Road for the purpose of performing storm sewer installation and excavation for temporary widening.    
WILSON COUNTY, SR 109 widening from I-40 to SR 24
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25: No closures scheduled.
DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Davidson County
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for ditch cleaning. 
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 7PM-1AM, There will be mobile operations in various locations in Davidson County for vegetation control. This will affect the shoulders or outside lanes.
  • Thursday August 19, 7PM-5AM, There will be rolling roadblocks in the left lane in Davidson County for cleaning grates and removing vegetation.
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 7PM-1AM, (excluding weekends) There will be ditch and bluff cleaning on the ramps on I-40 in both directions between mile marker 207 and mile marker 210. Traffic will be shifted but one lane will remain open.
  • Thursday August 19 and Tuesday August 24, 8PM-1AM, The I-65 southbound off ramp to Armory Drive will be closed for shoulder paving. 
  • Thursday August 19 and Tuesday August 24, 11PM-6AM, The I-65 northbound on ramp from Armory Drive will be closed for shoulder paving. 
  • Thursday August 19 and Monday August 23, 8PM-5AM, One lane will be closed in both directions on I-40 from I-440 to I-24 EB for mobile drain cleaning. One lane will remain open.
  • Tuesday August 24, 8PM-5AM, One lane will be closed in both directions on I-65 from I-24 to Armory Drive for mobile drain cleaning. One lane will remain open.
  • Wednesday August 25, 8PM-5AM, One lane will be closed in both directions on I-24 from I-40 to 82.1 mm for mobile drain cleaning. One lane will remain open.
  • Monday August 23 through Wednesday August 25, 8PM-5AM, 21st Avenue South from I-440 to Wedgewood Avenue will be reduced to one lane in both directions for milling.  One lane will remain open in both directions.
  • Williamson County
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 7PM-5AM, (excluding weekends), There will be rolling roadblocks in the left lane in Williamson County on I-65 southbound from the 74 mile marker to the 65 mile marker for cleaning grates and removing vegetation.
  • Cheatham County
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be intermittent lane closures on I-40 in Cheatham County from the Williamson/Cheatham County line (184.3 Mile Marker) to the Davidson/Cheatham County line (191.5 Mile Marker), for the purpose of chemical control of vegetation. One lane will remain open.
  • Giles County
  • Thursday August 19, 8AM-4PM, The right lane will be closed on I-65 northbound between mile marker 21 and 22 for patching the roadway. One lane will remain open.
  • Wayne County
  • Tuesday August 24 and Wednesday August 25, 5PM-5AM, The Square in Waynesboro will be shut down for milling and paving. There will be detours in place.
TDOT Utilities
  • Sunday August 22, 5:30AM-3PM, On I-24 near the Florence Road Overpass in Rutherford County. This request, by Middle Tennessee Electric Corp. is for transferring existing lines to new poles, Police cars will be present if needed.
  • Sunday August 22, 5AM-9PM, On SR-11 approx. 60' northwest of Ewing Drive just below intersection of Dickerson Pike and Ewing Drive in Davidson County. This request, by Nashville Electric Service for pole replacement transfer conductors.
Metro Nashville Local Program Project
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed on West End Ave. from Bowling Ave. to I-440 for sidewalk repair.
Nashville West Shopping Center – Charlotte Pike
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Charlotte Pike between Brook Hollow Rd. & Annex Ave. for the resurfacing.
NES Utility Work Region 3
  • Thursday August 19 through Wednesday September 1, 9AM- 3PM, NES will be on SR 6 Gallatin Road with intermittent lane closures for electrical work from Nesbitt Lane to Anderson Lane.
