The Tennessee Film, Entertainment and Music Commission needs your help finding the perfect location for two different projects.

PROJECT #1
High-profile producer/director producing feature based on a national best-selling author & novel set to start filming in Spring of 2011. The production company is currently looking for three main locations. The time period is 1860s during the Civil War era.

  1. Small one room log cabin, in a clearing surrounded by thick woods. It needs to be similar to where Abraham Lincoln would have grown up. The cabin would have to be available for exterior & interiors.
  2. Gettysburg battlefield, large open field with a hill & trees. No modern structures can be visible.
  3. Civil War Era Town. Sparsely populated with buildings period buildings. Dirt road.

PROJECT #2
Fox Television will begin filming their new TV pilot Outlaw Country in Nashville this fall. They are searching for a rustic cabin which needs to be isolated, log, or board and batten. It should look like it's inhabitable, but not new, nice or renovated. This location is not time period specific.

These locations cannot be near railroad tracks, flight paths, or interstate. If anyone is interested in submitting their property to the Tennessee Film, Entertainment and Music Commission should email 4-6 photos in .jpg format to tn.film@tn.gov or call the location hotline at (615) 532-0074.
