DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:
  • Thursday August 26 through Wednesday September 1, 9AM-3PM, There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

       Thursday August 26 through Wednesday September 1, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
·         I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Bell Rd (MM 40 to MM 61)
 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from SR 45 (OHB) to I-65:Thursday August 26 through Wednesday September 1, 8PM-5:30AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 eastbound and westbound in order to perform bridge repairs and guardrail repairs. One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Median Drainage Improvement on I-24 near MM 53.0:Friday August 27, 8PM through Saturday August 28, 8PM, There will be one lane closed on I-24 eastbound and westbound near MM 53.0 in order to remove barrier rail and to pave around catch basins.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday August 26 and Monday August 30 through Wednesday September 1, 8PM-5AM, Interstate 24 both directions in Rutherford County - Between DAVIDSON-RUTHERFORD COUNTY LINE (Mile Marker: 63.1) and MILE MARKER 83 (Mile Marker: 83.0), drainage work will cause temporary lane closures. One lane will remain open.

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, Emergency Bridge Repair on Florence Road over I-24:
       Saturday August 28, 4AM through Sunday August 29, 10PM, There will be lane closures on I-24 westbound between MM 73 (SR840) and MM72 (Florence Road Overhead Bridge) for emergency bridge repair.  Traffic will be reduced to two lanes on I-24 and to one lane with flaggers used for traffic control on Florence Road.
       Monday August 30 through Wednesday September 1, 8PM-5AM, There will be lane closures on I-24 westbound between MM73 (SR840) and MM 72 (Florence Road Overhead Bridge) for emergency bridge repair.  Traffic will be reduced to two lanes on I-24 and to one lane with flaggers used for traffic control on Florence Road.

TDOT Utilities:Sunday August 29, 5:30AM-3PM, On I-24 near the Florence Road Overpass in Rutherford County. This request, by Middle Tennessee Electric Corp. is for transferring existing lines to new poles, Police cars will be present if needed.
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from US-41 (MM 105) to SR-55 (MM 111):  The contractor will have nighttime lane closures on I-24 from 7:00 PM-- 6:00 AM to perform paving operations. Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on US-72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor has installed construction signs and will be clearing, relocating utilities and installing barrier rail.  Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 
 
HAMILTON, BRADLEY, and MARION COUNTIES, I-75 / I-24 / SR-153 / SR-29 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. There also may be weeknight lane closures throughout the project between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, nighttime weekend lane closures between the hours of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, and intermittent temporary stoppages of traffic (less than 15 minutes) at various locations throughout the project area to allow the contractor to perform ITS work. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is December 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, rehabilitation of the bridge on I-24 East over the US-27 ramp to I-24 East (MM 177-179) and the bridge on South Seminole Drive over I-24 (MM 181-183): The contractor will have nighttime lane closures in both I-24 work zones from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM Sundays through Thursdays to perform bridge rehabilitation work. At least one lane will be maintained at all times. At the I-24 Eastbound bridge site, a traffic shift is now in place, and I-24 East traffic will utilize the marked two-lane Exit 178 off-ramp as an I-24 East detour so the contactor can perform work on the bridge deck of I-24 East over US-27 North in downtown Chattanooga. This traffic shift will be in place until the project is completed. I-24 westbound traffic will not be affected. TheSouth Seminole Bridge over I-24 in Chattanooga is now reduced single-lane bridge. This one-lane operation is necessary to make repairs to the concrete deck surface of the bridge. Traffic signals have been installed at each end of the bridge to regulate the flow of traffic through the area. This one-lane traffic operation will remain in place for approximately four months while the repairs to the bridge are being completed. Motorists are advised to anticipate short delays when traveling through this area. Estimated project completion date is November 2010.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, I-26 East and West between I-81 (Exit 8) and SR 400 (Exit 22):On Sunday night, August 29, 2010 and Monday night, August 30, 2010, motorists should be alert for mobile lane closures between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews re-trace pavement markings. Motorists should be alert for slowed traffic and use extreme caution traveling through this area.

DICKSON COUNTY, I-40 Emergency Slide Repair:Thursday August 26 through Tuesday August 31, 9AM-3PM, (each day), There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound at MM 180.5 for emergency slide repair. One lane will remain open in each direction.

       Thursday August 26 through Wednesday September 1, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install devices, perform electrical work, and pole installation.
·         I-40, both directions, between US 70 and Old Hickory Blvd (MM 196 to MM 222)

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange:(Recovery Act Project) Thursday August 26 through Saturday August 28, 10PM-5AM, The two outside lanes of I-40 eastbound and westbound will be closed in order to slip form parapet wall on flyover bridge. One lane will remain open in each direction.
 
REGION 3, Retracing of Pavement Markings on Interstate and State Routes:Thursday August 26 through Wednesday September 1, 8PM-5AM, There will be mobile operations on I-40 in Wilson County from MM 224 to MM 250 in order to restripe the roadway. (This operation will be continuous from Friday at 8PM through Monday at 5AM).

SMITH COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Monday August 30, 6AM-4PM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound at the 260.2 MM for bridge repair.  One lane will remain open.

PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 rockfall mitigation at various locations: The contractor will have a right shoulder closure in order to work on the project. Nighttime lane closures will be needed to set barrier rail to route traffic around construction activities. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Each lane has been narrowed to a 10 foot width.  The possibility exists daily for potential traffic pacing due to rock blasting activities.  Emergency lane closures on an as needed basis will be implemented during daylight hours to accommodate pothole repair.  All other lane closures will be from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Estimated project completion date is August 2010. 
 
ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East and West at Mile Marker 347.1:On Thursday night, September 2, 2010, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present, potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East and West at Lawnville Rd. (Exit 355):Motorists should be alert for nightly lane closures between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. on Thursday night, August 26, 2010 through this bridge repair project. Motorists should be alert for workers and equipment present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, I-40 East and West between Mile Markers 368 and 369:On Wednesday night, September 1, 2010, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform barrier wall repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present, potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East and West between Rutledge Pike (Exit 392) and the Holston River Bridge (MM 395):Motorists should be alert for possible nightly lane closures on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning through this resurfacing project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution through this area.

COCKE COUNTY, I-40 West between Mile Markers 431 and 433:On Monday, August 30, 2010, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures during daylight hours through this area as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present, potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.

COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East bridge over the Pigeon River between Mile Markers 445 and 447: Motorists should be alert for lane closures through this bridge repair project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, expect potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.

  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound (MM 1.5 to MM 6.82), two lanes to remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, southbound & northbound (MM 10.0 to MM 5.0), two lanes to remain open.
  • I-55, Shelby County, northbound (MM 9.8 to MM 10.1), one lane to remain open.
 
SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is no access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. Motorists should use the Third Street Exit (Exit 7) and detour to Mallory. Riverside Drive from Mallory Avenue to Devant Street is closed. Motorists should use the newly constructed Riverport Road extension as an alternate route.
  • Wednesday August 25 through Wednesday September 1, 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures northbound (MM 8 to MM 9) in order to perform bridge construction between Bridges 1 & 2. One northbound lane will remain open.

REGION IV Maintenance:Wednesday August 25 through Wednesday September 1, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to fix washed out areas.

DYER COUNTY, I-155 Bridge Repair: Wednesday August 25 through Wednesday September 1: Beginning at Mile Marker 9 in Missouri and extending to Mile Marker 1 in Tennessee.  There will be one Eastbound & one Westbound lane closed. This work is for the re-painting of the steel structure and for concrete repairs and is a 24 hour closure.
 
 
I-65

FUTURE I-69
 
OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21:
       NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69. A detour route is posted.
       NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.

 
I-75

ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 South between Exit 128 (Lake City) and Mile Marker 127: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 through Thursday, September 2, 2010 as crews remove portable concrete barrier rails. Motorists should expect possible delays and should be alert for workers present, equipment entering and exiting the roadway and use extreme caution through this noise wall construction project. 

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 156 and 159: On Sunday night, August 31, 2010, through Tuesday night, September 2, 2010, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform barrier wall repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present, potential delays and use extreme caution through this area.
