Media Advisory: DHS Secretary Napolitano to Visit Tennessee Fusion Center

NASHVILLE --- Tennessee Department of Safety Commissioner Dave Mitchell will welcome U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano to the Tennessee Fusion Center located at Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) Headquarters, Wednesday, September 1, 2010.
During the tour of the Fusion Center, Secretary Napolitano will meet with state and local law enforcement partners and highlight Tennessee’s information sharing accomplishments. The Tennessee Office of Homeland Security (OHS) and the TBI share joint responsibility for operating the Fusion Center. While in Nashville, Secretary Napolitano will also meet with emergency management officials to discuss ongoing recovery efforts following recent flooding in Tennessee.
