August First Lady Series Features Student Town Hall

NASHVILLE - The August First Lady Series featured a Student Town Hall, giving first-time voters from nine public and private high schools in the Nashville area an opportunity to ask questions directly to Tennessee’s gubernatorial nominees, Bill Haslam and Mike McWherter. .

“I thought this would be a great opportunity to bring young people together and let the candidates hear their concerns,” said Tennessee First Lady Andrea Conte. “We were pleased to have nine public and private schools participating, and all of the students came up with their own questions on topics they wanted to hear the candidates address.”
 
The First Lady Series is a monthly program series at Conservation Hall at the Tennessee Residence, focusing on various timely issues.
