Federal Highway Administrator to Open New Flyover Ramp in West Nashville

Nashville, Tenn. – Federal Highway Administrator Victor Mendez will join Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Gerald Nicely and other state and local officials in Nashville on Friday to open the new flyover ramp from I-40 East to Briley Parkway North. The event marks a milestone in construction of the state’s second largest project funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Phase II of the I-40/White Bridge Road Interchange Improvements. The $32 million project is one of nearly 200 projects TDOT is funding through the ARRA.  
 
Friday’s event will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Interstate 40 East at White Bridge Road, at the base of the new flyover ramp. See below for directions to event site. The event will last approximately 30 minutes.
