TDOT to Open Henley Bridge Community Center

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner Gerald Nicely will join state and local leaders to officially open the new Henley Bridge Community Center on Tuesday, September 21 at 11:00 a.m. The new center is located at 220 East Blount Avenue across the street from the old Baptist Hospital and will provide motorists, business owners and residents a place to ask questions and get information about the restoration of the Henley Bridge, which includes the total closure of the bridge for up to 36 months beginning in January 2011. Nicely will also provide an update on the project.
