BRADLEY COUNTY, SR-60 (Dalton Pike) road widening from near Gilliland Road to US-64 (SR-311): The contractor will be clearing, relocating utilities, and building substructures and will use a flagging operation to navigate construction equipment through the project. Estimated project completion date is June 2012. 

CLAY COUNTY, SR-53 resurfacing project from Bob Watson Road (LM 12.91) to the Kentucky State Line (LM 15.64): The contractor will be performing paving operations and will navigate traffic through the project using a flagging operation. Estimated project completion date is October 2010.
 
CLAY COUNTY, SR-52 bridge construction over New Hope Branch beginning east of New Hope Branch (LM 15.75) to the Cumberland River (LM 17.49), including grading drainage and paving:  The contractor is constructing new bridge and performing grading operations. There are no lane closures scheduled at this time. The contractor is using a flagging operation to navigate construction equipment through the project. Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
CLAY / OVERTON COUNTY, SR-52 grading, drainage, paving, and construction of five bridges and retaining wall from existing SR-52 (LM 24.66) to 0.4 mile east of Overton County Line (LM 0.4): The contractor is currently placing erosion control measures and performing grading operations. There are no lane closures scheduled at this time. The contractor is using a flagging operation in order to navigate construction equipment through the project as needed. Estimated project completion date is November 2012. 
 
COFFEE COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing project from US-41 (MM 105) to SR-55 (MM 111):  The contractor will have nighttime lane closures on I-24 from 7:00 PM-- 6:00 AM to perform paving operations. Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
COFFEE COUNTY, SR-53 bridge construction over I-24 at MM 110 and road widening project (LM 0.00 to LM 4.14): The contractor is currently working on the Phase Two of the bridge over I-24 and widening SR-53. The contractor will have no lane closures on I-24. Detours are set in place on SR-53 to route traffic around construction activity.  Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
COFFEE COUNTY, SR-127 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge over I-24 between MM 117 and MM 121: (Recovery Act Project)The contractor will have lane closures on I-24 from 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM to paint the overhead bridge. Estimated project completion date is September 2010. 
 
COFFEE COUNTY, US-41 (SR-2) construction of a welded steel girder bridge over the Duck River (LM 12.72) including grading, drainage, and paving: (Recovery Act Project) The contractor is currently clearing, relocating utilities and constructing the first phase of the bridge.  The contractor is using a flagging operation to navigate construction equipment through the project.  Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, SR-101 (Lantana Rd.) widening project, including grading, drainage, installation of signals and paving from SR-282 (Dunbar Rd.) to SR-392 (Miller Ave.): (Recovery Act Project) The contractor will be performing clearing work, grading activities and utility relocation.  There will be short lane closures and temporary lane stoppages on SR-282, SR-101 and SR-392 for utility relocation and grading activities. West Adams Street will be closed to through traffic until October 31, 2010 for construction of Lantana Road. Estimated project completion date is October 2011. 
 
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, SR-298 (Genesis Road) grading, drainage, signal installation, and paving at the junction of I-40: Paving activities and signal installation are in progress. There may be short lane closures and temporary lane stoppages on SR-298 and the ramps for construction traffic entering the roadway, permanent pavement marking, and installation of signal equipment. Estimated project completion date is September 2010. 
 
CUMBERLAND COUNTY, SR-298 (Genesis Road) resurfacing from Jackie Drive (LM 2.73) to Lake Francis Road (LM 6.70):  The contractor will be performing paving operations and will conduct traffic control using a flagging operation. Estimated project completion date is October 2010.  
 
FENTRESS COUNTY, US-127 (SR-28) grading, drainage, and paving beginning at 0.2 miles north of Big Dry Creek (LM 24.57) and extending to 1.7 miles north of Jamestown (LM 26.26): This project is complete pending addressing of punchlist items. Estimated project completion date is September 2010. 
 
GRUNDY COUNTY, SR-56, construction of a precast structure over Firescald Creek (LM 21.30), including grading, drainage, and paving: (Recovery Act Project)The contractor is currently performing bridge work on the project.  There are no lane closures scheduled at this time.  Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, US-27 FROM I-24 to the Olgiati Bridge: Geotechnical crews from PSI will be in the area performing core drilling for a future TDOT project. There will be no lane closures as a result of this activity, but there may be occasional shoulder closures during nighttime hours. Please be alert for workers and equipment near the roadway.
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, College Drive East widening project from west of Sunkist Terrace to SR-317 (Apison Pike): The contractor will be working on College Drive East throughout the project area placing barrier rail and installing erosion control items between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.  Flaggers will be in place to assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is April 2011. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, SR-58 resurfacing from near Greenwood Road (LM 14.60) to near Sims Road (LM 17.36): The contractor will perform paving operations. During paving operations, there will be temporary daytime lane closures during non-peak hours. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times. Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, construction of concrete bulb-tee beam bridge on US-11 (SR-2, Cummings Hwy.) over Lookout Creek (LM 3.64) including grading, drainage and paving: The contractor will be implementing temporary lane closures or shifts between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM Monday through Saturday in the work zone for utility relocations and bridge construction.  Flaggers will be in place to assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is July 2011. 
 
HAMILTON, BRADLEY, and MARION COUNTIES, I-75 / I-24 / SR-153 / SR-29 construction of an intelligent transportation system on various interstate and state routes in and near Chattanooga: The contractor will implement shoulder closures throughout this report period within the project area on weekdays between the hours of 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM and anytime on the weekend as part of the ITS construction. There also may be weeknight lane closures throughout the project between the hours of 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM, nighttime weekend lane closures between the hours of 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM, and intermittent temporary stoppages of traffic (less than 15 minutes) at various locations throughout the project area to allow the contractor to perform ITS work. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is December 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, rehabilitation of the bridge on I-24 East over the US-27 ramp to I-24 East (MM 177-179) and the bridge on South Seminole Drive over I-24 (MM 181-183): The contractor will have nighttime lane closures in both I-24 work zones from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM Sundays through Thursdays to perform bridge rehabilitation work. At least one lane will be maintained at all times. At the I-24 Eastbound bridge site, a traffic shift is now in place, and I-24 East traffic will utilize the marked two-lane Exit 178 off-ramp as an I-24 East detour so the contactor can perform work on the bridge deck of I-24 East over US-27 North in downtown Chattanooga. This traffic shift will be in place until the project is completed. I-24 westbound traffic will not be affected. TheSouth Seminole Bridge over I-24 in Chattanooga is now reduced single-lane bridge. This one-lane operation is necessary to make repairs to the concrete deck surface of the bridge. Traffic signals have been installed at each end of the bridge to regulate the flow of traffic through the area. This one-lane traffic operation will remain in place while the repairs to the bridge are being completed. Motorists are advised to anticipate short delays when traveling through this area. Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, US-41 (Cummings Hwy., US-64, US-72, SR-2) resurfacing project from the Marion County Line (LM 0.0) to SR-38 (LM 2.32): No more lane closures will be required on this project.  Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, SR-17 (St. Elmo Ave.) construction of concrete box bridge over Holman Spring Branch (LM 0.09), including grading drainage, and paving: The phase 3 traffic shift is currently in place with traffic running on the west side of SR-17. The traffic shift will remain in place until the first section of the culvert is constructed.  Flaggers will assist with traffic control.  Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, Shallowford Road construction of concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge over South Chickamauga Creek (LM 4.01), including grading drainage, and paving: The contractor is constructing the new bridge and performing grading operationsThere will be no long-term lane closures as a result of this project. The existing bridge will remain open until construction of a new adjacent structure. The contractor may have intermittent short-term lane closures to move equipment during non-peak hours. Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is June 2012. 
 
JACKSON COUNTY, SR-56 construction of a concrete box bridge over Crabtree Creek (LM 23.24) including grading, drainage, and paving: The project is open to through traffic. Estimated completion time is September 2010. 
 
LINCOLN and FRANKLIN COUNTIES, US-64 grading, drainage, construction of concrete box bridges, and paving beginning 0.25 miles east of SR-275 (Flintville Road) and extending 0.152 miles east of the Lincoln County / Franklin County Line: The contractor has installed lane shifts to direct traffic around the construction area. Estimated project completion date is January 2011. 
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on US-72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor has installed construction signs and will be clearing, relocating utilities and installing barrier rail.  Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012.  
 
MCMINN COUNTY, SR-30 widening project, including grading, drainage, construction of a concrete box beam bridge and a retaining wall, including signal installation, from Athens City Limits to east of County Road 609: The contractor will be installing drainage and building structures. There will be temporary lane closures during the blasting and logging operations. On Wednesday, September 8, County Road 609 SE will be closed for the installation of a 36” drain pipe. Detours will be posted. Estimated project completion date is May 2012. 
 
MCMINN COUNTY, SR-39 resurfacing project from I-75 (LM 0.0) to US-11 (SR-2, LM 1.66): The contractor will have daytime lane and shoulder closures between the hours of 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM to begin sign installation, cold planing, and resurfacing. One lane will be maintained at all times.  Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
MCMINN/MEIGS COUNTY, SR-305 resurfacing from west of I-75 in McMinn County (LM 4.97) to SR-68 in Meigs County (LM 1.27); SR-68 resurfacing from SR-58 in Meigs County (LM 7.53) to east of Mount Verd Rd. in McMinn County (LM 1.97): This project is complete pending final inspection. Estimated project completion date is September 2010. 
 
OVERTON COUNTY, SR-84 rehabilitation of Carr Creek Bridge (LM 7.65): SR-84 has been reduced to one 10’ lane at Carr Creek while the existing structure is removed and replaced. Temporary signals have been installed to direct traffic through the work zone. Estimated project completion date is October 2010.
 
OVERTON COUNTY, SR-85 resurfacing from SR-111 (LM 11.18) to SR-85 (LM 11.51): The contractor will perform paving operations. Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is October 2010.  
 
OVERTON COUNTY, SR-111 resurfacing from SR-85 (LM 10.70) to SR-294 (LM 13.96): The contractor will perform paving operations. Flaggers will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is October 2010. 
 
POLK COUNTY, US-64 (SR-40) grading, drainage, and paving beginning east of US-411 (SR-33) and extending to west of the Ocoee River: The contractor has shifted traffic to Phase Two of the project. One lane of traffic in each direction is open from the bridge over US-411 (SR-33) to the Ocoee River. The contractor is using a flagging operation to navigate construction equipment through the project. Estimated project completion date is November 2010.  
 
POLK COUNTY, US-411 (SR-33) grading, drainage, construction of three bridges, and paving beginning 0.23 miles south of Lowery Road and extending to 0.32 miles south of Welcome Valley Road: The contractor has shifted traffic to start Phase Two of the project. The contractor is currently excavating, installing drainage structures, and constructing the bridge over the Ocoee River. There are no lane closures scheduled at this time. Estimated project completion date is October 2011. 
 
POLK COUNTY, US-411 (SR-33) grading, drainage, construction of three concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridges, and paving beginning at the Benton City Limits and extending to SR-30: (Recovery Act Project) The contractor is currently relocating utilities, grading, and installing structures.. The contractor is using a flagging operation to navigate construction equipment through the project. Estimated project completion date is September 2011. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 resurfacing from SR-136 (MM 287, LM 19.65) to Falling Water River (MM 292, LM 24.16): The contractor will have nighttime lane and shoulder closures on I-40 from 7:00 PM - 6:00 AM Sunday through Thursday nights to perform paving operations. One lane will be maintained in each direction at all times. Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, I-40 rockfall mitigation at various locations: The contractor will have a right shoulder closure in order to work on the project. Nighttime lane closures will be needed to set barrier rail to route traffic around construction activities. One lane will be maintained in both directions at all times. Each lane has been narrowed to a 10 foot width.  The possibility exists daily for potential traffic pacing due to rock blasting activities.  Emergency lane closures on an as needed basis will be implemented during daylight hours to accommodate pothole repair.  All other lane closures will be from 7:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Estimated project completion date is September 2010. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, SR-62 grading, drainage, and paving from east of Meadow Creek to west of Jim Garrett Road: Contractor is currently working on grading and paving operations. The contractor is using a flagging operation to navigate construction equipment through the project. Estimated project completion date is September 2010. 
 
PUTNAM COUNTY, SR-96 bridge rehabilitation over Buffalo Valley Creek (LM 1.28): The bridge has been reduced to one lane while the contractor performs rehabilitation. Temporary signals will direct traffic through the work zone. Estimated project completion date is November 2010. 
 
RHEA COUNTY, SR-29 Widening Project from SR-68 Junction to Spring City North City Limits: Traffic has been switched to the northbound lanes from north of Ideal Valley Road to the SR 68 overpass to allow construction of the southbound lanes. A traffic shift is in place on the south end of the project at the retaining wall next to Spring City Memorial Gardens. The speed limit throughout the project is posted at 40 MPH.  There may be short lane closures or temporary lane stoppages due to work along SR-29. Tallent Lane and Kemmer Road are open to traffic.  Estimated project completion date is April 2011. 
 
VAN BUREN COUNTY, SR-111 interchange construction project at SR-284 junction, including grading, drainage and construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge: The contractor is currently clearing and relocating utilities. Estimated project completion date is October 2011. 
 
WARREN COUNTY, US-70S (SR-1) relocation of roadway from Centertown to Spring Valley Road including construction of two concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridges, grading, drainage, and some paving: (Recovery Act Project) Grading operation on this project is active. Crisp Springs Road is closed with signed detour. Estimated project completion date is August 2011. 
 
WARREN COUNTY, SR-286 bridge replacement project (Westwood Bridge) for construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge over the Barren Fork River (LM 2.54) including grading, drainage and paving:Bridge is closed and will remain closed for the duration of the project. Detours are posted. Estimated project completion date is December 2010. 
 
WARREN COUNTY, SR-56 bridge replacement project (Beersheba St. Bridge) for construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge over the Barren Fork River (LM 11.77) including grading, drainage and paving:There will be no long-term lane closures as a result of this project. The existing bridge will remain open until construction of a new adjacent structure. The contractor may have intermittent short-term lane closures to move equipment. Flaggers will be present to assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is September 2011. 
 
WHITE COUNTY, US-70S (SR-1) resurfacing from Cole Road (LM 1.9) to SR-111 (LM7. 7):  This project is complete pending final inspection. Estimated project completion date is September 2010. 
 
WHITE COUNTY, SR-111 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge, including grading, drainage and paving at SR-135 junction:  The contractor may implement temporary lane closures on weekdays. Flaggers will be present to assist with traffic control. Estimated completion date is September 2011.
