State Viticulture Advisory Board to Meet

NASHVILLE - The Tennessee Viticulture Advisory Board will meet Nov. 8 at 10 a.m. CST at the DelMonaco Winery, located at 600 Lance Drive in Baxter, Tenn. The agenda includes a discussion of the Biennial Viticulture Plan, required by the state Department of Agriculture to help identify opportunities and challenges for developing the grape growing industry. The board will also discuss the federal Specialty Crop Block Grant program and the Tennessee Horticultural Expo, review board vacancies and new appointments, and conduct other business as presented.

The meeting is open to the public. Individuals interested in addressing the board should plan to arrive prior to the start of the meeting in order to be placed on the agenda.

The Tennessee Viticulture Advisory Board advises the Tennessee Department of Agriculture on matters pertaining to grape growing and wine production in Tennessee.
