Special Meeting of TWRA to Be Held Oct. 6 Via Conference Call

Wednesday, October 05, 2011 | 10:12am
NASHVILLE --- A special called meeting of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Commission will be held via conference call on Thursday, Oct. 6 at noon (CDT). The only item on the agenda is to consider granting a temporary suspension of the no wake zone on Nickajack Reservoir near Marion County Park on Oct. 7-9 from 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m. (EDT) each day.

The request for the suspension of the no wake zone for an Outboard Drag Boat Association event came after the TWRC’s regular meeting held in September and will occur before the next regularly scheduled meeting in October. Interested members of the public and media representatives wishing to attend the conference call should be seated by noon in the main conference room of the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency’s Nashville office. The office is located in the Ellington Agricultural Center at 5107 Edmondson Pike.

The TWRC’s next regular meeting will be held Oct. 13-14 in Nashville at the TWRA Region II Ray Bell Building.
