 I-24

 

MONTGOMERY and ROBERTSON COUNTIES, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday November 17 through Wednesday November 23, (excluding weekends), 9AM-12PM,  There will be one lane periodically closed on I-24 in both directions in Montgomery and Robertson Counties to move equipment between mile marker 25 and mile marker 12 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open.  This is between exit 24 (SR-49/Springfield and Ashland City) and exit 11 (SR-76/Adams-Clarksville).


DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:

  • Thursday November 17, 8PM-3AM, The left lane will be closed on I-24 eastbound between mile marker 47 and mile marker 50 for drain cleaning.  Three lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday November 17, 8PM-3AM, The right lane will be closed on I-24 eastbound between mile marker 54 and mile marker 56 for milling and paving.  Two lanes will remain open.


MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving:  The contractor continues work on the bridge.  Any interstate lane closures on I-24 will be at nighttime between 6PM-6AM.  Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed.  Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 


HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing beginning west of Chattanooga Creek (LM 6.18 / MM 177) to near Crest Rd. (LM 11.35 / MM 183), including bridge deck repair:  The contractor has completed all contract items.  The contractor may need either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) to address punchlist items.  At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Estimated project completion date is November 2011.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-26 East and West near Mile Marker 6 (Welcome Center):  Motorists should be alert for shoulder closures, workers present and use caution in this area.


UNICOI COUNTY, I-26 East near Mile Marker 50: On Thursday, November 17, 2011 through Tuesday, November 22, 2011, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closure through this area between the hours of 6 a.m.. and 8 p.m. as crews perform concrete pavement repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

 

 

I-40

 

REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance: Wednesday November 16 through Wednesday November 23, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.


SHELBY COUNTY, ON-Call Concrete Pavement Repair, I-40:

  • Wednesday November 16 through Wednesday November 23, 8PM-6AM:  There will be temporary lane closures eastbound (MM 2.4 to MM 5.0), for sawing of concrete pavement for repairs.  One lane will remain open.
  • LOOK AHEAD: Friday November 19, 8:00 p.m. through Monday November 21, 6:00 a.m.: There will be temporary lane closures eastbound and westbound (MM 2.6 to MM 5.2) for removal and replacement of concrete pavement.  Two lanes will remain open.


TDOT Region 4 On-Call Guardrail: Wednesday November 16 through Wednesday November 23, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail.

·         I-40/I-240 East Interchange, Shelby County eastbound & westbound at Sam Cooper Blvd., two lanes will remain open.

·         I-40, Henderson County eastbound and westbound (MM 111.5 to MM 116.0), one lane will remain open.

·         I-40, Decatur County westbound (MM 121.5 to MM 122.0), one lane will remain open.

·         I-40 Benton County eastbound (MM 130.5 to MM 133.5), one lane will remain open.


DICKSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday November 17, 10AM-1PM, The right lane will be closed on I-40 eastbound between mile marker 179 and mile marker 180 for bridge crew to inspect and core sample deck.


DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday November 17, 8PM-3AM, The left lane will be closed on I-40 in both directions from mile marker 205 to mile marker 202 for drain cleaning.  Three lanes will remain open.


DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Utilities: Sunday November 20, 6AM-2:30 PM, There will be rolling lane closures for interstate lighting maintenance for Nashville Electric Service in Davidson County for the following locations.

  • West bound I-40 from Church Street to White Bridge Road
  • East bound I-40 from White Bridge Road to Church Street
  • Starting at the I-40/I-65 split proceeding north on I-65 to Rosa Parks Blvd.
  • Beginning east of 46th Avenue on I-40, proceeding up the entrance ramp eastbound on  I-440 about ½ mile.
  • Returning west bound I-440 to the I-40 ramp about ½ mile.


ROANE COUNTY, I-40 West near Mile Marker 343: On Sunday night, November 20, 2011, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures through this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.


ROANE COUNTY, I-40 West near Mile Marker 362.6: On Sunday night, November 20, 2011, motorists should be alert for possible lane closures in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution through this area.

 

LOUDON COUNTY, I-40 East near Mile Marker 366.7: On Monday night, November 14, 2011 through Wednesday night, November 16, 2011, motorists should be alert for possible lane closures in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable barrier repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution through this area.


JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-40 East between Mile Markers 417 and 421: On Sunday night, November 20, 2011 and Monday night, November 21, 2011, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures through this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform bridge joint repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution through this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-140 East near Northshore Drive (Exit 5): Motorists should be alert for shoulder closures in this area. Motorists should use caution through this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Utilities: Sunday November 20, 6AM-2:30 PM, There will be rolling lane closures for interstate lighting maintenance for Nashville Electric Service in Davidson County for the following locations.

  • Beginning east of 46th Avenue on I-40, proceeding up the entrance ramp eastbound on  I-440 about ½ mile.
  • Returning west bound I-440 to the I-40 ramp about ½ mile.


DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-440 Eastbound from I-65 to I-24: Thursday November 17 through November 23: No closures scheduled.

KNOX COUNTY, I-640 West near Mile Marker 1.5: On Sunday night, November 20, 2011, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures through this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

 

 

I-55


REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance: Wednesday November 16 through Wednesday November 23, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.


SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue:  I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction.  Currently there is access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. The NEW northbound lanes at I-55 are open to traffic.

  • Wednesday November 16 through Wednesday November 23, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures southbound at mile marker 8 to mile marker 9 in order to perform work on Interstate bridge 1.  One southbound lane will remain open.  Exit 9 (southbound, Mallory Exit will remain closed with traffic being detoured to Exit 8 (Horn Lake Exit).


SHELBY COUNTY, Safety Improvement on the Ramps to I-55 at junction of Crump Boulevard: Wednesday November 16, through Wednesday November 23, 8:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.:  There will be “rolling” lane closures on I-55 and Crump for paving operations, installation of signs and guardrail, throughout the limits of the project.

I-65


MARSHALL COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday November 17 through Friday November 18, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 in both directions around the 27.0 mile marker for paving.  One lane will be closed on each side and one lane will remain open on each side.


WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 (Goose Creek) to SR 96: Thursday November 17 through Wednesday November 23, 8PM-5AM, There will be temporary lane closures on I-65 North and South from SR 96 to MM 62.5 in order to pave.


DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday November 17 through Wednesday November 23, 8PM-3AM, (excluding weekends), The right lane will be closed on I-65 at Rosa Parks Blvd. for vegetation and rock removal.  One lane will remain open. 


DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Utilities: Sunday November 20, 6AM-2:30 PM, There will be rolling lane closures for interstate lighting maintenance for Nashville Electric Service in Davidson County for the following locations.

  • Starting at the I-40/I-65 split proceeding north on I-65 to Rosa Parks Blvd.
  • Starting at Rosa Parks Blvd., proceeding south on I-65 to the I-40/I-65 split


ROBERTSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday November 17 through Wednesday November 23, (excluding weekends), 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-65 in both directions in Robertson County between mile marker 104 and mile marker 119 to mill, pave, and stripe the roadway in various locations.  One lane will remain open. )



FUTURE I-69

 

OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR 5/SR 22 to 0.78 mile west of SR 21

  • Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City is now open.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location.  A detour route is posted.  There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.


 

I-75

 

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-75 design-build project from Enterprise South interchange (Exit 9) to SR-317 (Apison Pike) at Old Lee Hwy.:  The contractor is constructing the new bridge to connect the interchange at Exit 9 to SR-317 at Old Lee Hwy.  Estimated completion date is January 2012. 

 

LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 North and South Bridge over the Tennessee River near Mile Marker 74: On Thursday night, November 17, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in both directions between the hours of 10 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. as crews perform expansion joint repairs.  Motorists should be alert for slowed traffic approaching this area and expect potential delays.


ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 118.6: On Thursday, November 17, 2011, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures through this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform cable barrier repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.


CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 139.9: On Sunday, November 20, 2011, motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures through this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.
