Inmate Walker Escape

NASHVILLE - An inmate who escaped from a minimum-security, work release facility is now back in TDOC custody.  Inmate Anthony Walker, 20, escaped around 1:00 a.m. Friday morning by scaling a fence at the Charles Bass Correctional Complex - Annex.

TDOC Special Operations Tactical Unit spotted the inmate walking along the railroad tracks within a two-mile radius of the facility. He was immediately taken into custody and will be housed at the Riverbend Maximum Security Institution.  Walker suffered minor injuries during the escape.

He was serving a 12-year sentence for theft, burglary and attempted aggravated child abuse and neglect.  He will now be charged with escape.
