MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation crews will close lanes on Interstate 40 in Shelby County this weekend in order to repair concrete.  Beginning Friday, February 11 at 8:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m. Monday, February 14, I-40 West from Hollywood Drive (Exit #5) to Chelsea Avenue (Exit #2) will be reduced to one lane for sealing concrete joints. Nighttime closures will continue next week in the same location from the hours 8:00 p.m. through 6:00 a.m.

All work is weather dependent.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and expect delays. Law enforcement officers will be on site in the work zone to provide traffic control as the work is being completed. TDOT also asks drivers to use caution, reduce their speed and be alert to changing traffic conditions in work zones across the state.
