MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from KY State Line to SR 76:Thursday May 19 through Wednesday May 25, 8PM-6AM, There will be one lane closed on I-24 westbound from MM 11.0 to MM 0.0 in order to mill and stripe the roadway and install guardrail.
 
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday May 19 through Wednesday May 25, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be one lane closed periodically on I-24 westbound in Montgomery County between mile marker 8 and mile marker 11 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway. One lane will remain open. Exit 11 is S.R. 76 Adams and Clarksville Exit, and Exit 8 is S.R. 237 Rossview Road Exit.

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday May 19 through Wednesday May 25, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be one lane closed periodically on I-24 in both directions in Robertson County between mile marker 25 and mile marker 18 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway. One lane will remain open. This is between exit 24 (Springfield and Ashland City) and Exit 19 (Adams).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Maintenance of the ITS System:Thursday May 19through Wednesday May 25: No closures scheduled.

DAVIDSON and RUTHERFORD COUNTIES, ITS Phase III:
  • Thursday May 19 through Wednesday May 25, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-6AM, There will be periodic day and night time shoulder closures at various locations within the areas listed below in order to install fiber, cleanup, and install conduit.   
    • I-24, both directions, between Briley Pkwy and one mile north of Old Hickory Blvd (MM 43 to MM 39)
    • I-24, both directions, between Old Hickory Blvd and Waldron Rd (MM 62 to MM 64)

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad:Thursday May 19through Wednesday May 25: No closures scheduled.  

RUTHERFORD COUNTY, I-24 Joint Stabilization:Thursday May 19through Wednesday May 25: No closures scheduled.

MARION COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing from Cave Cove Creek (MM 140.6) to Big Fiery Gizzard Creek (MM 145.75): The contractor will have one lane closed in each direction at night between the hours of 7PM-6AM Sundays through Thursdays to perform milling and paving operations. One lane will be maintained in each direction at all times. Estimated project completion date is June 2011. 
 
MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor continues work on the bridge. Any interstate lane closures on I-24 will be at nighttime between 6PM-6AM. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing beginning west of Chattanooga Creek (LM 6.18 / MM 177) to near Crest Rd. (LM 11.35 / MM 183), including bridge deck repair: The contractor has begun a resurfacing project on I-24 between mile markers 177 - 183 in and around downtown Chattanooga. The project includes partial and full depth concrete repairs to the roadway, as well as bridge deck repairs. Most of the work is scheduled to take place at night between the hours of 7PM-6AM Sundays through Thursdays. However, there are at least 8 weekends where the contractor will be allowed to have lane closures beginning at 7PM Friday night to 6AM Monday morning. It is planned that 2 lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction except between the hours of 10PM-5AM when traffic could be restricted to a single lane. THP will assist with traffic control.
  • CURRENT ACTIVITIES
    • Thursday, May 19 eastbound and westbound from 7PM-6AM. The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for bridge deck repairs. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
    • Friday, May 20 at 7PM through Monday, May 23 at 6AM eastbound and westboundThe contractor will have lane closures on I-24 East and West between mile markers 181 and 182. Either one lane or two lanes will be closed for bridge deck repairs to three bridges in the ridge cut in downtown Chattanooga. The bridges are at mile marker 181.34 over Norfolk Southern Railroad, mile marker 181.43 over Dodds Avenue, and mile marker 181.53 over Westside Drive. Two lanes of traffic will be open except between the hours of 10 p.m. - 5 a.m. when only one lane may be available. Beginning Sunday evening, the contractor plans to begin milling and paving on I-24 East and West between the U.S. 27 split at mile marker 180 and Chattanooga Creek at mile marker 177.
    • Monday, May 23 through Wednesday, May 25 eastbound and westbound from 7PM-6AM. The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for bridge deck repairs as well as milling and paving. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.

SHELBY COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 from Vollentine Avenue to the Jackson Avenue Bridge:Wednesday, May 22, through Wednesday, May 26, 7:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Each night there will be lanes closed eastbound and westbound for milling the I-40 bridge over state route 14/Jackson Avenue to the bridge over Hollywood Drive. Two lanes will be closed at a time with one lane remaining open. Ramps could be closed periodically.

HAYWOOD COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40, MM 43 - 45:Monday May 23 through Thursday May 26, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be milling operations from mile marker 43 to 45 on east and west bound lanes. One lane will remain open at all times. Tennessee Highway Patrol will be assisting with traffic control.

  • Thursday May 19 through Wednesday May 25, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating one lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound between SR 96 and MM 62.5 in order to perform some maintenance work and install barrier rail. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday May 19 and Friday May 20, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound between MM 62.5 and MM 64.0 in order to relocate barrier rail at jack and bore locations.
  • Sunday May 22, 6AM-11AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 northbound and southbound in order for Middle TN Electric to replace two span wires and four transmission lines over the interstate. Police officers will be utilized.

  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69. A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.
