MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation will join Hannah Grace Henderson and her 2nd Grade class at Austin Peay Elementary School in Tipton County to plant trees.

Hannah Grace wrote a letter to TDOT last fall, expressing concern about the trees that had been cleared as part of a construction project on State Route 14 near her school. (See attached letter.) Since then, TDOT has worked with Hannah and Austin Peay Elementary on a plan to replace several of the trees.

The event will take place in front of the elementary school and will last approximately one hour.
