Ramp Closure on Interstate 40 at Hollywood Drive

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation crews will close the eastbound on-ramp at Hollywood Drive this Sunday, June 12, 2011. The closure will begin at 5:00 a.m. and continue through 5:00 p.m.  The traffic exiting off the Interstate at Exit 79 (Hollywood Drive) will be flagged during this twelve hour period as crews install concrete pipe under the new ramps. 
 
A detour for the on-ramp closure will be signed directing motorists to the eastbound on-ramp at Exit 80 (US45 By-Pass).
 
Motorists traveling through the work zone are encouraged to use extreme caution. Motorists are reminded to use all motorist information tools responsibly. Drivers should refrain from texting, tweeting or using a mobile phone while operating a vehicle. TDOT advises drivers to "Know before you go!" by checking traffic conditions before leaving for their destination.
