THP Investigating Possible Hit-And-Run in Lawrence County

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating a possible hit-and-run pedestrian fatality that occurred on Fall River Road in Lawrence County during the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 21.
 
At approximately 4:30 a.m., a passerby saw a body lying beside the roadway on Fall River Road about two miles south of US Highway 64 and reported it to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office. Upon their arrival and initial investigation, it was determined that the victim had been struck by a vehicle. At that time, the THP was requested to continue the investigation. Investigators believe the incident may have occurred between the hours of 1 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday.  
 
The victim has been identified as Joshua Stuart Wiseman, 40, of Leoma, Tenn. The THP’s Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT) and Criminal Investigations Division (CID) are investigating.
