Randy Huskey President-Elect for International Hunter Education Association

NASHVILLE --- Randy Huskey, Hunter Education Administrator for the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, has been honored by being selected as the president-elect for the International Hunter Education Association (IHEA). The election came at the IHEA’s recently-held conference.
 
IHEA, based in Denver, Co., develops hunter education curriculum standards and training methods, hosts a national academy for hunting investigations and an academy for new administrators among its varied list of duties. Hunter Education professionals from across the United States, Canada, Mexico, South Africa and the Dominican Republic gathered at this year’s conference in Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
 
In his position with the TWRA, Huskey oversees the agency’s statewide Hunter Education program. TWRA implements the hunter education courses taught according to the standards established by the IHEA.
 
Huskey has been with the TWRA since 1991 when he joined the agency as a wildlife officer. A Blount County native, he has served in his current position since 2007. His term as IHEA president-elect will be for two years.
