Lane Closure Report for the Week of June 29, 2011

Knox County, SR 62 Widening-Oak Ridge Hwy. (APAC-Atlantic)
 Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, 9AM -3PM, There will be periodic flagging of traffic as crews perform grading operations throughout the project and at box bridge construction site.
 
Beginning Tuesday, July 5, Beaver Ridge Road at SR 62 (Western Ave) will be closed to allow for the construction of the Temporary runaround and for further erosion control measures to be installed.
 
Knox County, Bridge Rehabilitation of SR 33/US 441 Henley Bridge (Britton Bridge)
 Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, around the clock, Henley Bridge is closed to traffic for bridge rehabilitation. Traffic is being detoured using James White Parkway.
 
Through July 13, around the clock,Neyland Drive underneath the Henley Bridge is reduced to one lane in each direction and all traffic has been shifted to the westbound side of Neyland Drive for the demolition of the span over the eastbound side. (Note: July 13th is the tentative date to shift traffic to eastbound side to demo westbound side.)
 
Knox County, Resurfacing and Bridge Repair on I-75 between MM 112.5 – MM 117.5 (Rogers Group)
 Thursday night June 30 through Wednesday night July 6, 8PM – 6AM, I-75 North & South will be reduced from two lanes to one for milling and resurfacing. 
 
Blount County, Bridge Rehabilitation on SR 33 over Little River (Southern Constructors Inc.)
 Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, around the clock, SR 33 is reduced from two lanes to one in each direction controlled by temporary signal as per plans for bridge repair.
 
Blount County, Bridge Replacement on Stables Drive in Townsend (Blalock)
 Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, 7AM-5PM (or as needed), TN-73 Scenic at Stables Drive near the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is reduced to one lane controlled by a temporary signal as needed and as per traffic control plans for bridge replacement. (Note: A traffic shift was made on Thursday April 21st which allows contractor to maintain two lanes of traffic when not present and when work is occurring on the opposite side of the river. Additional width was achieved after utility relocation.)
 
Carter County, Bridge Repair on SR 159 over Elk River (Simpson Construction Co.)
 Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, around the clock, SR 159 is closed to thru traffic and traffic is being detoured as per traffic control plans for bridge construction.
 
Greene County, Bridge Repair on SR 350 over Richland Creek (Summers-Taylor)
 Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, around the clock,  SR 350 is closed and traffic is being detoured as per traffic control plans to complete bridge work as project has moved into next phase. 
 
Greene County, I-81 Resurfacing from Baileyton Rd. (MM 36) to Jearoldstown Rd. (MM 44) (Summers-Taylor)
 Thursday night June 30 through Wednesday night July 6, 7PM – 6AM, I-81 will be reduced from two lanes to one for milling and resurfacing.
 
Greene County, I-81 Resurfacing from Mile Marker 23 to Mile Marker 30 (APAC)
 Thursday night June 30 through Wednesday night July 6, 7PM – 6AM, I-81 will be reduced from two lanes to one for milling and resurfacing.
 
Loudon County, Bridge Construction on Unitia Road (Blalock)
Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, around the clock, Unitia Road will be closed to thru traffic and traffic detoured until Fall 2011 for bridge construction per traffic control plan.
 
ARRA Project Sevier County SR 66 Widening Project (Blalock)
Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be a short stoppage of traffic at various times throughout the day, as needed, for blasting and utility crossings.
 
Sevier County SR 66 Widening Project PHASE II: I-40 to SR 139 (Blalock)
 Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be a short stoppage of traffic at various times throughout the day, as needed, for blasting and utility crossings.
 
Sevier County SR 35 Bridge Repair over West Prong Little Pigeon River (Blalock)
Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, around the clock, Traffic on SR 35 has been reduced to one lane in each direction and shifted to the northbound side for phase 2 bridge rehabilitation. (Note: Delay in the start due to changing the traffic control plan and phasing by TDOT to maintain a center turn lane and sidewalks during phase 1construction and signal modifications. Time extension request forthcoming.)
 
Sevier County SR 35 Bridge Construction over Gist Creek (Blalock)
 Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, around the clock, Traffic on SR 35 has been reduced to one lane in each direction and shifted to the southbound side as per traffic control plans for bridge construction.
 
Union County, Bridge Replacement on SR 144 East over N. Fork Bull Run Creek (Horst Brothers Construction)
Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 6, around the clock, SR 144 East will be closed to thru traffic and traffic detoured using SR 61 and SR 370 until September 2011 for small concrete structure replacement per traffic control plan.
 
Washington County, I-81 Resurfacing from Greene County Line (MM 0.00) to Sullivan County Line (MM 3.94) (Summers-Taylor)
Thursday June 30 through Thursday July 7, 7PM – 6AM, I-81 will be reduced from two lanes to one for milling and resurfacing.
 
Region 1 On-Call Cable Barrier Repair (RMD Holdings)
 Wednesday night July 6 through Thursday night July 7, 8PM-6AM, There will be a one lane closure on I-140 EB (MM 9.4) in Blount County for cable rail repair.
 
Region 1 On-Call Guardrail (TN Guardrail)
Thursday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 5 through Thursday, July 7, 9AM - 4PM,There will be flagging operations and shoulder closures at various locations on state routes in Greene, Hamblen, Carter, Johnson, Hawkins, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington County for guardrail repair and installation.
 
Knox County, SR 332 S. Northshore Drive Utility Project (KUB) NON- TDOT Project  
Through August 2011, around the clock, SR 332 (S. Northshore Drive) is reduced from five lanes to three between Kingston Pike and Walden Rd. for a gas and waterline replacement project.
