I-24

 

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-24 from KY State Line to SR 76: Thursday July 14 through Wednesday July 20, 8PM-6AM, There will be one lane closed on I-24 eastbound and westbound from MM 11.0 to MM 0.0 for paving operations.


MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday July 14 through Wednesday July 20, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be one lane closed periodically on I-24 westbound in Montgomery County between mile marker 8 and mile marker 11 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open. Exit 11 is State Route 76 (Adams and Clarksville Exit), and Exit 8 is State Route 237 (Rossview Road Exit).


ROBERTSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday July 14 through Wednesday July 20, (excluding weekends), 9AM-4PM, There will be one lane closed periodically on I-24 in both directions in Robertson County between mile marker 25 and mile marker 18 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open. This is between exit 24 (Springfield and Ashland City) and Exit 19 (Adams). 


DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad: Saturday, July 16, 6AM-10AM, I-24 westbound left lane & shoulder will be closed for barrel delineator removal.  


MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving:  The contractor continues work on the bridge.  Any interstate lane closures on I-24 will be at nighttime between 6PM-6AM.  Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed.  Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 

 

HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing beginning west of Chattanooga Creek (LM 6.18 / MM 177) to near Crest Rd. (LM 11.35 / MM 183), including bridge deck repair:  The contractor continues a resurfacing project on I-24 between mile markers 177 - 183 in and around downtown Chattanooga.  The project includes partial and full depth concrete repairs to the roadway, as well as bridge deck repairs.  Most of the work is scheduled to take place at night between the hours of 7PM-6AM Sundays through Thursdays.  However, there are at least 8 weekends where the contractor will be allowed to have lane closures beginning at 7PM Friday night to 6AM Monday morning.  It is planned that 2 lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction except between the hours of 10PM-5AM when traffic could be restricted to a single lane.  THP will assist with traffic control.  Estimated project completion date is August 2011. 

  • CURRENT ACTIVITIES
    • Thursday, July 14, 2011 eastbound and westbound LM 8.3/MM 179.3 (Market Street) to LM 10.4/MM 181.4 (Dodds Ave.) from 7PM-6AM.  The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for milling and paving work.  At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
    • Friday, July 15 at 7PM through Monday July 18 at 6AM eastbound (LM 11.1/MM 182.1).  The contractor will shift traffic and close one lane to perform bridge deck repairs and paving on the inside lanes of the bridge on Missionary Ridge on I-24 East.  At least two lanes of traffic will be maintained throughout the weekend.
    • Monday, July 18 through Wednesday, July 20, 2011 eastbound and westbound LM 8.3/MM 179.3 (Market Street) to LM 10.4/MM 181.4 (Dodds Ave.) from 7PM-6AM.  The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for milling and paving work.  At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-26 West near Mile Markers 5.9 and 7.1: On Thursday night, July 14, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable rail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.


UNICOI COUNTY, I-26 between Mile Markers 36 and 40: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures during daylight hours and use caution through this resurfacing project. 


 

I-40

 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Hernando-DeSoto Bridge Inspection:

  • Wednesday July 13 and Thursday July 14, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: Each day Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department will close one westbound lane for an annual inspection of the bridge.
  • Monday July 18 through Wednesday July 20, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: Each day Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department will close one westbound lane for an annual inspection of the bridge.


REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance: Wednesday July 13 through Wednesday July 20, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.


SHELBY COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 from Vollentine Avenue to the Jackson Avenue Bridge:

  • Wednesday July 13 through Friday July 15, 7:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Each night there will be lanes closed eastbound and westbound for paving the I-40 bridge over state route 14/Jackson Avenue to the bridge over Hollywood Drive.  Two lanes will be closed at a time with one lane remaining open.  Ramps could be closed periodically.
  • Sunday July 17 through Wednesday July 20, 7:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.: Each night there will be lanes closed eastbound and westbound for paving the starting from the bridge over Vollentine to the bridge over the Wolf River. They will also be placing shoulder gravel on the I-40 section eastbound and westbound between SR 14 and the bridge Hollywood Drive.  Ramps could be closed periodically.


REGION 4, On-Call Guardrail: Wednesday July 13 through Wednesday July 20, 8PM-6AM:  There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail.

·         I-40, Decatur/Henderson Counties westbound (MM 116.0 to MM 126.0), one lane to remain open.

·         I-40, Benton County westbound (MM 129.4.0 to MM 129.6), one lane to remain open.

·         I-40, Benton County eastbound (MM 129.4 to MM 134.1), one lane to remain open.


DICKSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-40 in Dickson, Hickman, & Humphreys Counties (MM 148 – MM 182): Thursday July 14 through Wednesday July 20, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound from MM 148-182 in order to fog seal the shoulders and place permanent striping.


DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-40 and Robertson Road Interchange: (Recovery Act Project)

  • Thursday July 14, 8PM-5AM and Friday July 15, 8PM-12 Midnight, Three lanes in each direction of I-40 will be closed for bridge work, paving, and texture coating median wall.
  • Thursday July 14, 8PM-5AM and Friday July 15, 8PM-12 Midnight, There will be alternating closures on Robertson Road for grooving and striping.


SMITH COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Monday July 18 through Thursday July 21, 9AM-3PM, There will be a lane closures in both directions at each bridge on I-40, from the Wilson/Smith County line-MM 252 to the Smith/Putnam County line-MM 267 for bridge inspection. One lane will remain open.


ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East near Mile Marker 344.6 and 356.6: On Monday night, July 18, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.


ROANE COUNTY, I-40 West near Mile Marker 352.6: On Sunday night, July 17, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.


LOUDON COUNTY, I-40 West near Mile Marker 368: On Sunday night, July 17, 2011 and Monday night, July 18, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.


 

I-140

 

KNOX COUNTY, I-140 East and West near Northshore Drive (Exit 5): Motorists should be alert for possible brief rolling roadblocks at various times daily through this blasting zone between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.  Motorists should reduce speed and be alert for sudden stops, slowed traffic and use extreme caution approaching this area.



I-240

 

REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance: Wednesday July 13 through Wednesday July 20, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.


SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 beginning SR385 to north of Walnut Grove Road: Friday July 15 at 8:00 p.m. through Monday July 17, 6:00 a.m.: There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound from mile marker 16.0 to mile marker 13.0 to begin milling and paving.  Two eastbound lanes will be closed with one lane remaining open.

KNOX COUNTY, I-640 West near Mile Marker 3.3: On Sunday night, July 17, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.


 

I-55


REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance: Wednesday July 13 through Wednesday July 20, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

 

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue:  I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction.  Currently there is access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. The NEW northbound lanes at I-55 are open to traffic.

  • Wednesday July 13 through Wednesday July 20, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.:  There will be intermittent lane closures southbound at mile marker 8 to mile marker 9 in order to perform work on Interstate between bridge 1 and 2.  One southbound lane will remain open.  Exit 9 (southbound, Mallory Exit will remain closed with traffic being detoured to Exit 8 (Horn Lake Exit).

 

SHELBY COUNTY, Safety Improvement on the Ramps to I-55 at junction of Crump Boulevard: Thursday July 14 through Saturday July 16: There will be a partial temporary Ramp "D" Closure @ Exit 12A to E. H. Crump Blvd.  The closure is necessary in order to safely operate equipment and for paving operations.  Temporary striping and traffic control devices along I-55 northbound will be placed.  There will continue to be a lane closure thru phase 1 construction westbound along Crump Blvd and Riverside for laying asphalt at Ramp B. One lane will remain open. There will be asphalt paving on the outside of the shoulder at Ramp A, westbound I-55.

 

 

I-155

 

REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance: Wednesday July 13 through Wednesday July 20, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

 

DYER COUNTY, I-155, Wednesday July 13 through Wednesday July 20, 7:00 a.m. -7:00 a.m.: Resurfacing and bridge repair should alert motorist for lanes closures. There will be one northbound and one southbound lane closed.

 

 

I-65

 

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 (Goose Creek) to SR 96:

  • Thursday July 14 and Friday July 15, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 southbound and northbound between SR 96 and MM 62.6 in order to remove barrier rail.
  • Thursday July 14 through Wednesday July 20, 12 Noon, There will be a rolling roadblock on I-65 northbound and southbound just south of SR 96 in order to blast for a retaining wall.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 ramp to Old Hickory Blvd (Brentwood): Thursday July 14 through Wednesday July 20: No closures scheduled.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-65 at the junction with SR 12 (Rosa Parks Blvd.):

  • Thursday July 14 through Wednesday July 20, 9PM-5AM and Saturday July 16, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. for curb and median work and to install traffic and pedestrian signals and pave.
  • Monday July 18 through Wednesday July 20, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound in order to pave the tie ins at the ramps.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Tuesday July 19 and Wednesday July 20, 8PM-3AM, I-65 in both directions between mile marker 87 and mile marker 90 two left lanes will be closed for milling and paving and crack sealing.  Two lanes will remain open.

 

 

FUTURE I-69

 

OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21:

  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69.  A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location.  A detour route is posted.  There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.

 

 

I-75

 

HAMILTON COUNTY, design-build project from I-75 Enterprise South interchange to SR-317 (Apison Pike) at Old Lee Hwy.: The contractor is performing grading operations and constructing the new bridge to connect the interchange at Exit 9 to SR-317 at Old Lee Hwy.  Estimated completion date is January 2012. 

 

LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 North and South near Mile Marker 74: Motorists should be alert for lane closures in place around the clock, seven days a week in both directions approaching the bridge over the Tennessee River near Mile Marker 74 as crews perform bridge repairs.  Motorists should be alert for slowed or stopped traffic approaching this area, expect potential long delays and use extreme caution through this area.

 

ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 118.5: On Thursday night, July 14, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable rail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

 

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 137.7: On Sunday night, July 17, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

JEFFERSON COUNTY, I-81 North near Mile Marker 5.0: On Tuesday night, July 19, 2011, motorists should be alert for a temporary lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs.  Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

 

WASHINGTON COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 50 and 54: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures through this resurfacing project on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning.  Motorists should be alert for equipment and workers present, expect potential delays and use caution in this area.
