MONTGOMERY, ROBERTSON, CHEATHAM COUNTIES, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday August 18 through Wednesday August 24, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the  0 mile marker to the 32 mile marker in order to spray guardrails for vegetation control. This will be a moving operation.

ROBERTSON and SUMNER COUNTIES, TDOT Maintenance:There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-65 from 97.71 mile marker to the 121.47 mile marker in order to spray guardrails for vegetation control. This will be a moving operation.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad:Thursday August 18 through Wednesday August 24: No closures scheduled. 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday August 18 and Tuesday August 23, 10PM-5AM, I-24 eastbound at mile marker 50 after the Silliman Evans Bridge there will be alternating lane closures for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor continues work on the bridge. Any interstate lane closures on I-24 will be at nighttime between 6PM-6AM. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing beginning west of Chattanooga Creek (LM 6.18 / MM 177) to near Crest Rd. (LM 11.35 / MM 183), including bridge deck repair: The contractor continues a resurfacing project on I-24 between mile markers 177 - 183 in and around downtown Chattanooga. The project includes partial and full depth concrete repairs to the roadway, as well as bridge deck repairs. Most of the work is scheduled to take place at night between the hours of 7PM-6AM Sundays through Thursdays. However, there are at least 8 weekends where the contractor will be allowed to have lane closures beginning at 7PM Friday night to 6AM Monday morning. It is planned that 2 lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction except between the hours of 10PM-5AM when traffic could be restricted to a single lane. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is August 2011. 
  • CURRENT ACTIVITIES
    • Thursday, August 18, 2011 eastbound and westbound LM 8.3/MM 179.3 (Market Street) to LM 10.4/MM 181.4 (Dodds Ave.) from 7PM-6AM. The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for milling and paving work. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
    • Friday, August 19 at 7PM through Monday August 22 at 6AM westbound (LM 11.1/MM 182.1). The contractor will shift traffic and close one lane to perform bridge deck repairs and paving on the bridge on Missionary Ridge on I-24 West. At least two lanes of traffic will be maintained throughout the weekend.
    • Monday, August 22 through Wednesday, August 24, 2011 eastbound and westbound LM 8.3/MM 179.3 (Market Street) to LM 10.4/MM 181.4 (Dodds Ave.) from 7PM-6AM. The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for milling and paving work. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.

REGION 4 ON-CALL Guardrail:August 17 through Wednesday August 24, 8:00p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail.
·         I-40, Shelby County eastbound and westbound (MM 1.0 to MM 3.0), two lanes to remain open.
·         I-40, Fayette/Shelby Counties eastbound and westbound (MM 23.0 to MM 35.0), one lane to remain open.
·         I-40, Henderson/Madison Counties westbound (MM 82.0 to MM 115.0), one lane to remain open.
·         I-40, Benton County westbound (MM 128.0 to MM 134), one lane to remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Elm Hill Pike over I-40:Thursday August 18 through Wednesday August 24, No closures scheduled.

 
I-140
 
KNOX COUNTY, I-140 East and West near Northshore Drive (Exit 5):Motorists should be alert for possible brief rolling roadblocks at various times daily through this blasting zone between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Motorists should reduce speed and be alert for sudden stops, slowed traffic and use extreme caution approaching this area.

REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance:Wednesday August 17 through Wednesday August 24, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 beginning SR385 to north of Walnut Grove Road:
  • Friday August 19, 8:00 p.m. through Monday August 22, 6:00 a.m..: There will be ONE eastbound lane closed and TWO open (mm16.0 to mm 13.0) for placement of barrier rail and to apply joint sealing. 
  • Friday August 19, 8:00 p.m. through Monday August 22, 6:00 a.m..: There will be TWO westbound lanes closed and ONE open for the placement of barrier rail and paving operations.

REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance:Wednesday August 17 through Wednesday August 24, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. The NEW northbound lanes at I-55 are open to traffic.
  • Wednesday August 17 through Wednesday August 24, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures southbound at mile marker 8 to mile marker 9 in order to perform work on Interstate bridge 1. One southbound lane will remain open. Exit 9 (southbound, Mallory Exit will remain closed with traffic being detoured to Exit 8 (Horn Lake Exit).

SHELBY COUNTY, Safety Improvement on the Ramps to I-55 at junction of Crump Boulevard:Wednesday August 17 through Wednesday August 24, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will continue to be a lane closure and shoulder closure for clearing operations at Ramp A and permanent removal of ramps leading to I-55.

REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance:Wednesday August 17 through Wednesday August 24, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

 
I-65

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 (Goose Creek) to SR 96:Thursday August 18 and Friday August 19, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on the ramp from SR 96 to northbound I-65 for paving and shifting traffic. There will also be moving closures in order to restripe the roadway throughout the project.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TDOT Utilities:Sunday August 21, 6AM-10AM, On I-65 & Moores Lane Interchange in Williamson County. This request, by TW Telecom Inc. for adding one aerial strand and fiber optic cable, two rolling stop blocks are expected. Police cars will be present. 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 ramp to Old Hickory Blvd (Brentwood):Wednesday August 17   through Wednesday August 24, 9PM to 5AM, (excluding weekend), On Old Hickory Blvd. the inside lane, in both directions, and the left turn lane to I-65 southbound will be closed to remove and replace the concrete island.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-65 at the junction with SR 12 (Rosa Parks Blvd.):Thursday August 18 through Wednesday August 24, 9PM-5AM and Saturday August 6, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. in order to install lighting and signal work.

TDOT Bridge Inspection:Thursday August 18, 8PM-4AM, The right lane will be closed on I-65 southbound between mile marker 86 and mile marker 85 (over the Cumberland River Bridge) for bridge deck repair. Two lanes will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday August 18 and Tuesday August 23, 8PM-3AM, I-65 in both directions between mile marker 87 and mile marker 90 two left lanes will be closed for milling and paving and crack sealing. Two lanes will remain open.


FUTURE I-69
 
OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21:
  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69.  A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.
 
 
I-75
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, design-build project from I-75 Enterprise South interchange to SR-317 (Apison Pike) at Old Lee Hwy.:The contractor is performing grading operations and constructing the new bridge to connect the interchange at Exit 9 to SR-317 at Old Lee Hwy. Estimated completion date is January 2012. 
 
LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 North and South near Mile Marker 74:Motorists should be alert for lane closures in place around the clock, seven days a week in both directions approaching the bridge over the Tennessee River near Mile Marker 74 as crews perform bridge repairs. Motorists should be alert for slowed or stopped traffic approaching this area, expect potential long delays and use extreme caution through this area.

ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 North near Mile Marker 121:On Thursday night, August 18, 2011, motorists should be alert for a lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform cable rail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 54 and 57: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures through this resurfacing project on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should be alert for equipment and workers present, expect potential delays and use caution in this area.

 
Motorists are encouraged to use caution and obey reduced speed limits in all TDOT work zones, regardless of lane closure activity.
