I-24
 
MONTGOMERY, ROBERTSON, CHEATHAM and COUNTIES, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday August 25 through Wednesday August 31, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the  0 mile marker to the 32 mile marker in order to spray guardrails for vegetation control. This will be a moving operation.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Thursday August 25, 7PM-3AM, The right lane will be closed on I-24 westbound between mile marker 35 and mile marker 32 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

REGION 3, On-Call Signs
  • Friday August 26 and Monday August 29 through Wednesday August 31, 9AM-3PM, There will be shoulder closures on I-24 in both directions at MM 40.0 in order to install sign footers.                              
  • Monday August 29 and Tuesday August 30, 8PM-6AM, There will be two lanes of I-24 eastbound and westbound closed at MM 76.0 in order to install sign footer.

MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor continues work on the bridge. Any interstate lane closures on I-24 will be at nighttime between 6PM-6AM. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing beginning west of Chattanooga Creek (LM 6.18 / MM 177) to near Crest Rd. (LM 11.35 / MM 183), including bridge deck repair:  The contractor continues a resurfacing project on I-24 between mile markers 177 - 183 in and around downtown Chattanooga. The project includes partial and full depth concrete repairs to the roadway, as well as bridge deck repairs. Most of the work is scheduled to take place at night between the hours of 7PM-6AM Sundays through Thursdays. However, there are at least 8 weekends where the contractor will be allowed to have lane closures beginning at 7PM Friday night to 6AM Monday morning. It is planned that 2 lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction except between the hours of 10PM-5AM when traffic could be restricted to a single lane. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is August 2011. 
  • CURRENT ACTIVITIES
    • Thursday, August 25, 2011 eastbound and westbound LM 8.3/MM 179.3 (Market Street) to LM 10.4/MM 181.4 (Dodds Ave.) from 7PM-6AM. The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for milling and paving work. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.
    • Friday, August 26 at 7PM through Monday August 29 at 6AM westbound (LM 11.1/MM 182.1). The contractor will shift traffic and close one lane to perform bridge deck repairs and paving on the bridge on Missionary Ridge on I-24 West. At least two lanes of traffic will be maintained throughout the weekend.
    • Monday, August 29 through Wednesday, August 31, 2011 eastbound and westbound LM 8.3/MM 179.3 (Market Street) to LM 10.4/MM 181.4 (Dodds Ave.) from 7PM-6AM. The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for milling and paving work. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.

REGION 4, ON-CALL Guardrail:August 24 through Wednesday August 31, 8PM-6AM: There will be night time lane closures at the following locations to repair damaged guardrail.
·         I-40, Shelby County eastbound and westbound (MM 1.0 to MM 3.0), two lanes to remain open.
·         I-40, Shelby County eastbound and westbound (MM 6.0 to MM 12.0), two lanes to remain open.
·         I-40, Madison/Haywood Counties westbound (MM 54.0 to MM 77.0), one lane to remain open.
·         I-40, Decatur County westbound (MM 121.0 to MM 123.5), one lane to remain open.
·         I-40, Benton County westbound (MM 129.0 to MM 130), one lane to remain open.

REGION 4, Painting Pavement Markings
August 24 through Wednesday August 31, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be night time “rolling “lane closures at the following locations to restripe roadway.
·         I-40, Madison County westbound, (MM 87.0 to MM 95), one lane to remain open.
·         I-40, Madison County eastbound and westbound ramps, (MM 87.0 to MM 95), ramp to remain open.

TDOT Materials & Tests/Design:Thursday August 25, 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-40 between mile marker 225 and mile marker 233 for pavement coring. This will be a moving operation.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East and West between Mile Markers 351.2 and 356.6: On Tuesday night, August 30, 2011, motorists should be alert for a lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, I-40 West near Mile Marker 364.1: On Tuesday night, August 30, 2011, motorists should be alert for a lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, I-40 East near Mile Marker 367.9: On Tuesday night, August 30, 2011, motorists should be alert for a lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-140 East near Northshore Drive (Exit 5):Beginning at 7 p.m. Friday night, August 26, 2011 through 7 p.m. Sunday night, August 28, 2011, motorists should be alert for a right lane closure in place around the clock as crews set portable barrier rail in this area. Motorists should reduce speed and be alert for sudden stops, slowed traffic and use extreme caution approaching this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-140 East near Mile Marker 6.7: On Monday night, August 29, 2011, motorists should be alert for a lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 beginning SR385 to north of Walnut Grove Road:Saturday August 27 & Sunday August 28, 6:00 a.m..: There will be 2 eastbound & westbound lanes closed(MM 16.0 to MM 13.0) to apply joint sealing. One lane will remain open. There will be one westbound lane closed for placement of barrier rail. Two lanes will remain open.

I-55

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. The NEW northbound lanes at I-55 are open to traffic.
  • Wednesday August 24 through Wednesday August 31, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures southbound at mile marker 8 to mile marker 9 in order to perform work on Interstate Bridge 1. One southbound lane will remain open. Exit 9 (southbound, Mallory Exit will remain closed with traffic being detoured to Exit 8 (Horn Lake Exit).

SHELBY COUNTY, Safety Improvement on the Ramps to I-55 at junction of Crump Boulevard:Wednesday August 24 through Wednesday August 31, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will continue to be a lane closure and shoulder closure for clearing operations at Ramp A and permanent removal of ramps leading to I-55.

I-65

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance: Tuesday August 30 and Wednesday August 31, 7PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 southbound between mile marker 60 and mile marker 57 for milling and paving. One lane will remain open.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 (Goose Creek) to SR 96:Sunday August 28, 6AM-11AM, Traffic on the northeast ramp from SR 96 to I-65 northbound will be shifted in order to remove a high mast pole to the infield storage area. There will be approximately 2 stoppages of traffic on the ramp for 10 minutes or less.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 ramp to Old Hickory Blvd (Brentwood):Thursday August 25through Wednesday August 31, 9PM to 5AM, (excluding weekend), There will be alternating lane closures on Old Hickory Blvd and the I-65 southbound exit ramp for paving operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, I-65 at the junction with SR 12 (Rosa Parks Blvd.):Thursday August 25 through Wednesday August 31, 9PM-5AM and Saturday August 27 and Sunday August 28, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Rosa Parks Blvd. for final job cleanup.

ROBERTSON and SUMNER COUNTIES, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday August 25 through Wednesday August 31, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-65 from 97.71 mile marker to the 121.47 mile marker in order to spray guardrails for vegetation control. This will be a moving operation.


FUTURE I-69
 
OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21
  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69. A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.
 
 
I-75
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, design-build project from I-75 Enterprise South interchange to SR-317 (Apison Pike) at Old Lee Hwy.:The contractor is performing grading operations and constructing the new bridge to connect the interchange at Exit 9 to SR-317 at Old Lee Hwy. Estimated completion date is January 2012. 
 
LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 North and South near Mile Marker 74: Both lanes of I-75 in each direction approaching the Tennessee River Bridge at Mile Marker 74 have been reopened through this bridge repair project. Lane closures to complete bridge repairs in this area will resume on September 7, 2011. Motorists should use caution through this area.

LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 84.3: On Monday night, August 29, 2011, motorists should be alert for a lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 116.4: On Monday night, August 29, 2011, motorists should be alert for a lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 South near Mile Marker 120.6:On Sunday night, August 28, 2011, motorists should be alert for a lane closure in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 South between Mile Markers 156 and 137: On Sunday night, August 28, 2011, motorists should be alert for temporary lane closures in this area between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use extreme caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 54 and 57: Motorists should be alert for possible lane closures through this resurfacing project on Sunday nights through Thursday nights between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning. Motorists should be alert for equipment and workers present, expect potential delays and use caution in this area.
