Chattanooga, Tenn. – TDOT has reopened the truss bridge on U.S. Hwy. 41 over the Tennessee River at Nickajack Lake in Marion County. Geotechnical engineers successfully completed recent testing that required closing the truss bridge to traffic for several days.

The testing was done in conjunction with the $21.5 million bridge replacement project currently underway. Completion of the new multi-span steel plate girder bridge to replace the 82-year-old truss bridge is scheduled for August 31, 2013.
