Macy's to Hold Seasonal Hiring Event at the Springfield Career Center

NASHVILLE—The holiday season is approaching, and Macy’s Logistics and Operations in Portland, Tennessee, is hiring. Jobseekers are invited to attend a job fair hosted by the Springfield Career Center on Wednesday, October 5th, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
“We are pleased to assist Macy’s Logistics and Operations in recruiting people for these seasonal positions,” said Tennessee Department of Labor Commissioner Karla Davis. “These jobs will appeal to all types of people and do not require any experience.”
Macy’s is hiring between 900 and 1,000 people to work between the months of October and January. These openings are for pickers and packers. The jobs will start out at a minimum of $9.10 per hour. To qualify for these positions applicants must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid ID (does not have to be a driver’s license). There is no experience necessary, and applicants are not required to have a GED or high school diploma.
