Leftover Wildlife Management Area Hunting Permits Available Sept. 7

 NASHVILLE --- Leftover hunting permits for three Wildlife Management Areas will be available on Wednesday, Sept. 7 beginning at 8 a.m. (CDT). Leftover permits will be allocated through the Online License Center and through all Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency license agents.
 
The areas include Cheatham WMA, Laurel Hill, and Prentice Cooper. The specific hunts and total number of permits available:

Individuals can obtain one permit. Hunters cannot purchase leftover permits for an area from which they were selected in the regular drawing and they cannot purchase leftover permits for an area which has the same or overlapping dates as the hunts they were selected for during the regular drawing.
 
Hunters are allowed to purchase permits for others as long as they have all the required information. The same one permit allowance is in effect.

The privilege codes are 331 for Annual Sportsman License holders (Type 004), Lifetime Sportsman License (Types 401-406) holders, or senior citizen hunters (Type 165 or 166) combined with an Annual Senior Citizen Permit (Type 167). The code for all other license holders 338 and the cost is $10. Those purchasing online will be charged an additional $3 internet usage fee. (The $3 internet processing fee is collected by the company that maintains the internet site and is not a fee charged by the TWRA).
 
The receipt is the hunter’s permit and no permits will be mailed. He/she must have this receipt with him/her while hunting.
