DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday September 8, 8PM-4AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 in both directions between mile marker 46 and mile marker 50 for cleaning drains. One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad:Thursday September 8 through Wednesday September 14: No closures scheduled. 

MARION COUNTY, I-24 at Exit 152 construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee beam bridge on U.S. 72 (SR-27) including grading, drainage, and paving: The contractor continues work on the bridge. Any interstate lane closures on I-24 will be at nighttime between 6PM-6AM. Flaggers and THP will assist with traffic control as needed. Estimated project completion date is September 2012. 
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, I-24 resurfacing beginning west of Chattanooga Creek (LM 6.18 / MM 177) to near Crest Rd. (LM 11.35 / MM 183), including bridge deck repair: The contractor continues a resurfacing project on I-24 between mile markers 177 - 183 in and around downtown Chattanooga. The project includes partial and full depth concrete repairs to the roadway, as well as bridge deck repairs. Most of the work is scheduled to take place at night between the hours of 7PM-6AM Sundays through Thursdays. However, there are at least 8 weekends where the contractor will be allowed to have lane closures beginning at 7PM Friday night to 6AM Monday morning. It is planned that 2 lanes of traffic will be maintained during construction except between the hours of 10PM-5AM when traffic could be restricted to a single lane. THP will assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is September 2011. 
  • CURRENT ACTIVITIES:Thursday, September 8, through Wednesday, September 14, 2011 eastbound and westbound LM 8.3/MM 179.3 (Market Street) to LM 10.4/MM 181.4 (Dodds Ave.) from 7PM-6AM. The contractor will have either one lane or two lanes closed (only 10PM-5AM) for paving, striping or clean-up work. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained at all times.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, I-26 East near Mile Marker 10.9: On Monday night, September 12, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible temporary lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform cable rail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

REGION 4, TDOT Maintenance:Wednesday September 7 through Wednesday September 14, 8:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region 4 in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 Bridge over the Mississippi River:
  • Wednesday September 7 through Wednesday September 14, 6:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be various closures westbound for maintenance by the City of Memphis (Shelby Electric Company) on the decorative lights attached to the two arch spans of the bridge. The contractor will work in one direction until finished then move to the other side.
  • Wednesday September 7 through Wednesday September 14, 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.: There will be various closures eastbound for maintenance by the City of Memphis (Shelby Electric Company) on the decorative lights attached to the two arch spans of the bridge. The contractor will work in one direction until finished then move to the other side.

CHEATHAM COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday September 8 through Wednesday September 14, (excluding weekends), 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 in both directions in Cheatham County between mile marker 186 and mile marker 192 in order to patch pot holes in the concrete bridge decks. One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Tuesday September 13, 10PM-3AM, TheI-40 westbound off ramp to northbound State Route 155 (Briley Pkwy.) will be closed for milling and paving. All traffic will be detoured onto Donelson Pike over to Lebanon Road.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Elm Hill Pike over I-40:Friday September 9, 11PM through Monday September 13, 5AM, There will be three lanes closed on I-40 westbound at mile marker 217 in order to begin work on the bridge beams. One lane will remain open.

ROANE COUNTY, I-40 East near Mile Marker 351.2: On Sunday night, September 11, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible temporary lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East and West near Mile Marker 370.1: On Sunday night, September 11, 2011 through Tuesday night, September 13, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible temporary lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform median wall repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East near Mile Marker 392.9: On Thursday night, September 8, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible temporary lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY, I-40 East near Mile Marker 397.9: On Wednesday night, September 14, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible temporary lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform cable rail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

COCKE COUNTY, I-40 East and West between Mile Markers 442 and 451:Beginning Monday, September 12, 2011, motorists should be alert for lane closures in place around the clock in both directions approaching mile markers 443, 447 and 451 as crews perform median wall repairs. Motorists should expect potential delays and use extreme caution in this area.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 at Mallory Avenue: I-55 is reduced to two lanes in each direction. Currently there is access to Mallory Avenue (Exit 9) from Northbound I-55. The NEW northbound lanes at I-55 are open to traffic.
  • Wednesday September 7 through Wednesday September 14, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be intermittent lane closures southbound at mile marker 8 to mile marker 9 in order to perform work on Interstate bridge 1. One southbound lane will remain open. Exit 9 (southbound, Mallory Exit will remain closed with traffic being detoured to Exit 8 (Horn Lake Exit).

SHELBY COUNTY, Safety Improvement on the Ramps to I-55 at junction of Crump Boulevard:Wednesday September 7 through Wednesday September 14: There will continue to be a lane closure and shoulder closure for clearing operations at Ramp A and permanent removal of ramps leading to I-55.

I-65

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 (Goose Creek) to SR 96:
  • Thursday September 8 through Wednesday September 14, 12 Noon, Traffic will be paced on I-65 northbound and southbound between MM 62.0 and MM 63.0 in order to blast.
  • Friday September 9 through Wednesday September 14, 8PM-5AM, (excluding Saturday), There will be one lane of I-65 northbound and southbound closed in order to pave the roadway.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 ramp to Old Hickory Blvd (Brentwood):Thursday September 8   through Wednesday September 14, 9PM to 5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Old Hickory Blvd and the I-65 southbound exit ramp for paving operations.

ROBERTSON COUNTY, TDOT Maintenance:Thursday September 8 through Wednesday September 14, (excluding weekends), 7PM-5AM, There will be one lane temporarily closed on I-65 southbound from the 111.0 mile marker to the 111.5 mile marker to mill and repair a pothole. One lane will remain open.


FUTURE I-69
 
OBION COUNTY-Future I-69 beginning 0.31 mile south of SR-5/SR-22 to 0.78 mile west of SR-21
  • NOW through Thursday November 3, 2011, Brevard Road near Goodyear in Union City will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location so that Brevard Road will cross over I-69. A detour route is posted.
  • NOW through Saturday September 15, 2012, Perry Browder Road between George Moss Road and Mt. Zion Road will be CLOSED for the construction of an interchange at this location. A detour route is posted. There is only one house on this section of Perry Browder Road and they will provide egress and ingress daily as the project is constructed.
 
 
I-75
 
HAMILTON COUNTY, design-build project from I-75 Enterprise South interchange to SR-317 (Apison Pike) at Old Lee Hwy.:The contractor is performing grading operations and constructing the new bridge to connect the interchange at Exit 9 to SR-317 at Old Lee Hwy. Estimated completion date is January 2012. 
 
LOUDON COUNTY, I-75 North and South near Mile Marker 74: Beginning Monday, September 12, 2011, motorists should be alert for a lane closure on I-75 North approaching the bridge over the Tennessee River near Mile Marker 74. This closure will be in place around the clock as crews complete bridge deck repairs. The lane closure will switch to the southbound side once the northbound repairs are complete. Motorists should expect potential long delays and use extreme caution approaching and this area.

ANDERSON COUNTY, I-75 North near Mile Marker 121.5:On Thursday night, September 8, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible temporary lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform cable rail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY, I-75 North near Mile Marker 142.4: On Thursday night, September 8, 2011, motorists should be alert for a possible temporary lane closure between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. as crews perform guardrail repairs. Motorists should be alert for workers present and use caution in this area.

SULLIVAN COUNTY, I-81 North and South between Mile Markers 54 and 57: Motorists should be alert for a lane closure in both directions in place around the clock as crews perform bridge repairs near Mile Marker 56. Motorists should expect potential long delays and use extreme caution approaching and this area.
