TripAdvisor Names Two Tennessee Cities As Top Destinations On The Rise For 2012

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — TripAdvisor, Inc., the world’s largest travel site, announced the top 15 United States destinations on the rise for 2012, naming Nashville as No. 1 on the list, followed by Pigeon Forge at No. 4.

The list features destinations for all travel tastes and budgets, comprised of destinations which have seen a remarkable increase in traveler reviews on TripAdvisor.com during the last year.

TripAdvisor cites Nashville’s country music scene and storied history as reasons for the city’s appeal as the top vacation spot this year. In Pigeon Forge, the backdrop of Great Smoky Mountains National Park creates a great getaway for hikers, offering more than 800 miles of mountain trails throughout the Appalachian wilderness, according to the article.
