TDOT to Celebrate Completion of SR 76 Widening Project

Jackson, Tenn. – Tennessee Department of Transportation Commissioner John Schroer will join Senator Lowe Finney, Representative Curtis Halford, and other state and local officials in Gibson County on Wednesday, October 10, 2012 to celebrate the completion of the State Route 76 widening project.

The $32 million project widened a 4.3 mile section of State Route 76 from two lanes to four lanes divided and five lanes.  The project has increased capacity safety along the route and improved access to the City of Milan.

Wednesday’s event will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the parking lot of D & M Chipboard on SR 76.  The event will last approximately 20 minutes.
