Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs to Host Veterans Outreach Event for Grainger and Claiborne Counties

NASHVILLE – Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs is partnering with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, American Legion, Walters State Community College and the Tennessee Valley Coalition to End Homelessness to offer a Veterans outreach event for Grainger and Claiborne Counties.  The event will be hosted at American Legion Post #119, 7812 Rutledge Pike (SR 11W) across from the Brine House on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Representatives from the Tennessee Department of Veterans Affairs (TDVA), United States Department of Veterans Affairs (USDVA), Walters State Community College and several community organizations will be available to answer questions, provide information and assist in enrollment opportunities for Veterans and other eligible beneficiaries. 

Veterans will need to present a copy of their DD-214 and any other service related documents to assist with filing claims for federal benefits.
