DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through March 2013, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Saturday December 15, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 to install fence.
  • Monday December 17 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating shoulder closure on I-24 in order to power wash the river piers and apply texture coating.
  • Look Ahead: Friday January 4, 8PM to Monday January 7, 5AM, I-40 WB will be closed at the I-40WB/I-24EB Split in order to repair a beam damaged by an oversize load.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd.

  • Friday December 14, 9PM-5AM, I-65 northbound will be closed to one lane starting ¼ mile north of Dickerson Road to Trinity Lane. This closure will be necessary while the roadway is restriped and traffic is shifted.
  • Monday December 17 through Wednesday December 19, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound from Trinity Lane to Dickerson Rd. to perform shoulder work (outside and inside shoulders). There will be no more than one lane closed at any time.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Installation of Guardrail on I-440 LM 2.9 & LM 3.73

  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 8PM-5AM, There will be one lane closure from LM 2.9 to LM 3.24 Eastbound and 3.24 to LM 3.73 Westbound for the installation of powder coated guardrail.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of Bridge on SR 100 over Pritchett Creek

  • Wednesday December 12 through Friday December 14 and Monday December 17 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, there will be alternating lane closures on SR 100 for paving of bridge approaches.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Re-lensing of Snowplowable Markers

  • Thursday December 13, 8PM-6AM, there will be a rolling lane closure on I-24 from MM 78 to MM97 for re-lensing of slowplowable markers.
  • Thursday December 13 and Friday December 14, 8PM-6AM, There will be rolling lane closure on I-440 from LM 0.00 to LM 7.66 for the contractor to re-lens snowplowable markers.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 Southbound from MM 62.5 to MM 68.0 for milling and paving operations. At least one lane will remain open.

Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65 and SR 840

  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 840 westbound at MM 65 for bridge repair.
  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures to patch potholes on as needed basis on I-24 in Rutherford and Bedford Co., I-65 in Williamson Co. and SR 840 in Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson Counties.
  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 8PM-5AM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures to repair guardrail on an as needed basis on I-24 in Rutherford and Bedford Col., I-65 in Williamson Co., and SR 840 in Williamson, Rutherford and Wilson Counties.

DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization is in place.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 8PM-5AM, (excluding Monday December 17), There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for median sign footing construction and setting of bridge beams. One lane will remain open in each direction.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:
  • I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties
  • I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties
  • I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

Davidson County

  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, There will be various shoulder closures for rock removal on all interstates. All lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on various state routes for crack sealing. One lane will remain open.

Smith County

  • Wednesday December 12, 7PM-3AM, The right lane will be closed on I-40 eastbound at MM 263 for bridge repair. One lane will remain open.

Sumner County

  • Thursday December 13, 9AM-2PM, There will be alternating lane closures on SR 386 eastbound at MM 12 in order to mill and pave. One lane will remain open.

Robertson County

  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 11 (U.S. 41) in both directions between mile markers 21,22,23 and 24 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on SR 76 in both directions between MM 2.5 and MM 3.5 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.

Cheatham County

  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 49 in both directions between mile marker 0 (Cheatham County and Dickson County line) and mile marker 1.0 also between mile marker 3 and mile marker 4 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 249 in both directions between mile marker 0 and mile marker 0.5 in order to pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 7PM-5AM, (excluding weekends), There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 in both directions in Cheatham County between MM 186 and MM 192 in order to patch potholes in the concrete bridge decks. One lane will remain open.

Montgomery County

  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 11 (U.S. 41) in both directions between mile marker 2.0 and mile marker 3.0 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.
  • Thursday December 13 through Wednesday December 19, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 12 in both directions between mile marker 10.9 and mile marker 12.2 in order to mill, pave and stripe the roadway. One lane will remain open.

TDOT Bridge Inspection

Davidson County

  • Thursday December 13, 8PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-440 westbound between MM 3.0 and MM 4.0 for bridge repair. One lane will remain open.

TDOT Utilities

  • From now through Thursday December 20, 7PM-6AM, on SR 24 Charlotte Pike / 850’ West of Whites Creek Rd. in Davidson County. This request by Piedmont Gas to repair a corroded gas main in the inbound outside lane.
  • Thursday December 13 through Friday December 21, 9AM-3PM, On SR 65 Whites creek Pike 3333’ north of Bear Hollow Road in Davidson County. This request by Piedmont Gas to open-cut across roadway to replace a 10” main.

Geotechnical Investigation for TDOT

Sumner County

  • Sunday December 16, 7AM-1PM, Lane closures on North Bound lane of SR 258 (New Shackle Island Road) at the intersection of Wessington Road. Boring as part of geotechnical investigation for TDOT for retaining walls along New Shackle Island Road in Hendersonville.

Local Programs

  • Tuesday December 18 and Thursday December 20, 8PM-6AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on SR 386 (Vietnam Veteran’s Pkwy) eastbound and westbound in order to set bridge beams at the Indian Lake Bridge.
