Bonny Oaks Driver Service Center in Hamilton County to Temporarily Close for Renovations

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security announced the Driver Service Center located at 6502 Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga will temporarily close on Monday, July 2 and Tuesday, July 3 for facility renovations. The driver service center will also be closed July 4, as will all state offices, for the Independence Day holiday. The Bonny Oaks Driver Service Center will reopen for normal business hours at 8:30 a.m. EDT on Thursday, July 5.

The Bonny Oaks Driver Service Center is one of several centers across the state to undergo renovations to create more efficient customer service.

“We are committed to transforming our driver service centers into customer-friendly facilities and reducing customer wait times. The renovations at the Bonny Oaks facility will help equip the staff to better handle the volume of customers. More importantly, it will allow us to better serve the citizens of Hamilton County,” Commissioner Bill Gibbons said.

During the closure, local customers may visit the other full service driver service center in Hamilton County located in the Red Bank area. Other nearby driver service centers are located in Bradley and Marion Counties. Additionally, the Hamilton County Clerk’s Office issues duplicates and renewals for non-commercial driver licenses. Citizens may also renew online at www.tn.gov.
