CHEATHAM COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on SR 12 over Sycamore Creek

  • Tuesday August 28, 9AM-3PM, Traffic will be stopped for 10 minutes approximately 12 times during the day in order to unload concrete trucks for the bridge deck pour.  Traffic will be allowed to clear between trucks.  Flaggers will be utilized.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 14 Bridges over I-440

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 8PM-6AM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating closures on West End Ave. over I-440 (including ramp closures) in order to work on expansion joints.
  • Saturday August 25 and Sunday August 26, 7AM-7PM, There will be alternating closures on West End Ave. over I-440 in order to work on expansion joints.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through November 2012, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Rehabilitation on I-24 over Main St. and Woodland St.

  • Monday August 27 through Wednesday August 29, 8PM–5AM, There will be alternating street closures on Main Street and Woodland Street, from South Fifth Street to Interstate Drive, for texture coating of bridges.  Detours will be in place.
  • Friday August 24 at 9PM through Monday August 27 at 5AM, I-24 eastbound and westbound will be closed from the I-24/I-65 split north of downtown to the I-24/I-40 split east of downtown to place bridge deck seal and place asphalt pavement.  Main Street and Woodland Street, from South Fifth Street to Interstate Drive, will also be closed.  Detours will be in place.
  • Monday August 27 through Wednesday August 29, 9PM–5AM, Two lanes of I-24 eastbound and westbound will be temporarily closed in order to install snowplowable pavement markers and scoring shoulders.  One lane will remain open.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for sandblasting operations.
  • Friday August 24 through Monday August 27, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 for sandblasting operations.
  • Monday August 27 through Wednesday August 29, 8PM-6AM, The inside and outside lane of I-24 westbound will be closed for painting operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • Thursday August 23, 12 Midnight-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures of I-65 northbound will be closed for bridge repairs.  One lane will remain open.
  • Monday August 27 through Thursday August 30, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures of I-65 northbound and southbound will be closed for bridge repairs.  One lane will remain open.
  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

 
DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Lebanon Road over Browns Creek

  • Thursday August 23, 7PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Lebanon Rd. in order to restripe the roadway, set barrier rail, shift traffic signals and shift traffic.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Old Hickory Blvd. from US 431 to US 31/W/41

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Old Hickory Blvd. from Whites Creek Pike to Dickerson Rd. in order to install guardrail and install permanent pavement markings. Flaggers will be utilized.

 

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Briley Pkwy. From Mashburn Rd. to Glastonbury Rd.

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 8PM-6AM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday), There will be alternating lane closures in both directions in order to perform bridge deck repairs.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70S from West of I-40 (LM 5.2) to SR 100 (LM 10.9)

  • Monday August 27 through Wednesday, August 29, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures for casting adjustments and milling on US 70S.

DICKSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair I-40 over Nails Creek (MM 177.8) and Turnbull Creek (MM179.9)

  • Friday August 24, 8PM through Monday August 27, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for milling operations and bridge deck repair.  

MIDDLE TENNESSEE, Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65, and SR 840

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on SR840 in both directions between MM 28 & 76 for structure and drain cleaning.

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization will in place.
  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound at MM 37.0 in order to perform overhead bridge work.
  • Saturday August 25 and Sunday August 26, 7AM-8PM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound at MM 37.0 in order to perform overhead bridge work.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound for paving operations.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy.) from south of SR 96 to SR 6

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 10AM-11AM and 1PM-2PM, There will be lane closures on SR 397 in order for the contractor to blast.
  • Thursday August 23, 9AM-3PM, There will be lane and shoulder closures on SR 96 from Buckingham Circle to Jordan Lane to repair pavement.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 (US 31) from Saturn Plant Road to Williamson County Line

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 7PM-5AM, There will be alternating temporary lane closures on SR6 in order to conduct paving operations.

VARIOUS COUNTIES, Performance Based Maintenance Work on I-24, I-65, and SR 840

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 9AM-3PM (excluding weekends), There will be shoulder closures on SR840 in both directions between MM 28 & 76 for structure and drain cleaning.

DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Sunday August 26 through Wednesday August 29, 8PM-5AM, There will be one lane closed on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to mill the roadway.  One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Linwood Road over I-40

  • Tuesday August 28 and Wednesday August 29, 9PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound in order to pour bridge deck.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, between 11AM and 1PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order for the contractor to blast.
  • Friday August 24 through Wednesday August 29, 9AM-2:30PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order to unload concrete bridge beams periodically throughout the day.
  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 8PM- 6AM, The northbound lane of SR 109 will be closed in order to pour concrete or southbound for roadway construction.

GILES COUNTY, Resurfacing on I-65 from the Alabama State Line to US 64

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-65 northbound and southbound between MM 0.0 and MM 14.0 in order to pave and install pavement markings.  One lane will remain open.

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

Cheatham County 

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, (excluding weekends), 9AM-12PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-40 in both directions in Cheatham County to move equipment between mile marker 189 and mile marker 191.44 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open.   
  • Tuesday August 28, 9AM-12PM, The right shoulder will be closed on I-40 in both directions in Cheatham County at mile marker 190.5 for bridge inspection.  

 

Cheatham, Montgomery, Robertson and Sumner Counties

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the 0 mile marker to the 32 mile marker in (Cheatham, Montgomery and Robertson Counties) and on I-65 from the 97.71 mile marker to the 121.47 mile marker in (Robertson and Sumner Counties) in order to spray Johnson grass and guardrails for vegetation control.  This will be a moving operation.  

 

Davidson County 

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, 9AM-3PM and 7PM-1AM, There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates.  All lanes will remain open.   
  • Thursday August 23 and Tuesday August 28, 8PM-1AM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 155 (Briley Parkway) eastbound between Exit 14A (Gallatin Pike/Madison) and Exit 11 (Opry Mills Dr.) for milling and paving.  Two lanes will remain open. 

Houston County 

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, (excluding weekends), 9AM-3PM, There will be temporary lane closures for paving over replaced culverts in Houston County at the following locations:

 

  • State Route 46------2.0 Mile Marker to 3.0 Mile Marker

                                        5.5 Mile Marker to 6.5 Mile Marker

                                        7.0 Mile Marker to 8.0 Mile Marker

 Montgomery County

  • Thursday August 23 through Wednesday August 29, (excluding weekends), 9AM-12PM, There will be one lane periodically closed on I-24 in both directions in Montgomery County to move equipment between mile marker 11 and mile marker 17 in order to trim vegetation overhanging the roadway.  One lane will remain open.   

Smith County

  • Thursday August 23, 7PM-3AM, The right lane will be closed on I-40 westbound at Mile Marker 253 for bridge repair.  One lane will remain open.  

Wilson County 

  • Friday August 24 and Saturday August 25, 8PM-2AM, The right lane will be closed on I-40 westbound between Mile Marker 239.0 and Mile Marker 239.6 for the Wilson County Fair.  One lane will remain open.  

TDOT Utilities

  • From now through Thursday October 4, 7PM-6AM, On SR-258 on New Shackle Island Road from Volunteer Dr. to Iris Dr. in Summer County .This request by Hendersonville U.D. to open-cut into the roadway for the installation of approx. 3800’ of 16” water main. Proper lane closures signs and detours will be setup.
  • From now through Friday September 28, 9AM-3PM, On SR-65 Whites Creek Pike starting at Green Lane running north ending in front of Bates Nursery. This request by, Piedmont Gas Co. to install 4” gas main there will be temporary lane closures.
  • Thursday August 23 through September 14,9AM-3PM, On SR-255 Harding Place starting at Timber Hill Drive to Danby Drive will be temporarily lane closures. This request by Nashville Electric Service for setting new poles for the Harding Road side walk improvements.
  • Sunday August 26, 6AM-1PM, On Northbound lane of Briley Parkway North along the median wall from Cumberland River Bridge to just north of Gallatin Road overpass. This request, by Nashville Electric Service for lighting maintenance with arrow boards, police officers, flagpro for traffic control.
