TWRA Sponsoring Big Buck Contest in Conjunction with Land & Wildlife Expo

NASHVILLE --- The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is sponsoring a Big Buck Contest in conjunction with the Second Annual Bass Pro Shops Land & Wildlife Expo this weekend at the at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville.

Those interested in entering can drop their mounts off at the TWRA display area in the convention hall beginning at 9 a.m. on Friday (Aug. 10) until 8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

The cost to enter is $20 per mount which includes one admittance to the Land & Wildlife Expo each day for the person entering the mount. The winners will be announced at 5 p.m. Saturday at which time the entries must be picked up.

Mount and registration tickets may be purchased at the LWE registration area in the Presidential Lobby of the Gaylord Opryland Hotel.

The TWRA, along with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NCRS), are among the sponsors. The expo is designed for persons interested in managing their land for wildlife. The expo begins Aug. 9 with various seminars while the indoor and outdoor display and demonstration areas will be open Aug. 10-11.
