DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of 14 Bridges over I-440

  • Thursday September 13 and Monday September 17 Through Wednesday September 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating closures on West End Ave. over I-440 (including ramp closures) in order to work on expansion joints.
  • Thursday September 13 and Friday September 14, 6 AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Acklen Park Bridge for paving operations.
  • Saturday September 15 and Sunday September 16, 7AM-7PM, There will be alternating closures on West End Ave. over I-440 (including ramp closures) in order to work on expansion joints
  • Saturday September 15 and Sunday September 16, 6AM-7PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hillsboro Road for partial depth concrete repair.
  • Monday September 17 through Wednesday September 19, 6AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Richardson Bridge for paving operations.
  • Monday September 17 through Wednesday September 19, 7AM-6PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Nolensville Road for joint repairs.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Gallatin Rd. over the CSX Railroad

  • From now through November 2012, Gallatin Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction in this area.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Repair of the I-24 (Silliman Evans) Bridge over Nashville & Eastern Railroad

  • Thursday September 13 through Friday September 14, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for painting operations.
  • Friday September 14 through Sunday September 16, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on Hermitage Ave. for painting operations.
  • Friday September 14 through Wednesday September 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-24 for painting operations.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on 3rd Ave. over I-65

  • From now through April 2013, Third Ave. Bridge will be reduced to one lane.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Construction on Dickerson Rd. over Dry Creek

  • From now through April 2013, Dickerson Rd. will be reduced to one lane in each direction from Dry Creek Rd. to Robert Cartwright Dr. in Goodlettsville (LM 22.09).

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on Briley Pkwy. From Mashburn Rd. to Glastonbury Rd.

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions in order to perform bridge deck repairs.
  • Saturday September 15 and Sunday September 16, 6AM-8PM, There will be alternating lane closures in both directions in order to perform bridge deck repairs.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on US 70S from West of I-40 (LM 5.2) to SR 100 (LM 10.9)

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 8PM-6AM, There will be alternating lane for casting adjustments and milling on US 70S.

DAVIDSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair on Lebanon Rd. over Browns Creek

  • Friday September 14, 9AM-3PM, There will be one lane closed in each direction in order to remove the old bridge deck and beams.

MAURY COUNTY, Bridge Construction on SR 50 over I-65

  • From now through June 2013, SR 50 will be reduced to one lane in this area due to repair of the bridge.  Signalization is in place.
  • Saturday September 15, 4:30AM through Monday September 17, 6AM, There will be rolling roadblocks on I-65 northbound and southbound for the removal and setting of beams on the SR 50 Bridge.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Widening of I-65 from SR 248 to SR 96

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 8PM-5AM, The right lane of I-65 northbound from MM62.0 to Hwy. 96 will be closed for paving operations.
  • Sunday September 16, 8AM-10AM, The left lane of I-65 northbound on ramp will be closed in order to load a high mast pole on trailer. There will also be two (10 minutes in durations) full ramp closures in order to move pole to location and set pole.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Construction on SR 397 (Mack Hatcher Pkwy.) from south of SR 96 to SR 6

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 10AM-11AM and 1PM-2PM, (excluding weekend), There will be lane closures on SR 397 in order for the contractor to blast.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 6 (US 31) from Saturn Plant Road to Williamson County Line

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating temporary lane closures on SR6 in order to conduct paving operations.

DAVIDSON/SUMNER COUNTIES, Miscellaneous Safety Improvements

Local Program Project-Gateway (Korean Veterans) Blvd.

  • From now through December 2012, Traffic on 8th Ave. south and north will be reduced to one lane approaching the Lafayette St. intersection in order to construct roundabout.

WILSON COUNTY, I-40 Widening from Central Pike to East of SR 109

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 8PM-5AM, (excluding Saturday and Sunday) there will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for milling operations and the removal of cable rail. One lane will remain open in each direction.

WILSON COUNTY, Resurfacing on SR 171 from US41 to county line

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 9AM-3PM, There will be alternating temporary lane closures on SR 171 from LM 2.20 through LM 8.77 in order to install guardrail.

WILSON & SUMNER COUNTIES, Bridge Construction on SR 109 over the Cumberland River

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, between 11AM and 1PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order for the contractor to blast.
  • From now through Wednesday September 19, 9AM-2:30PM, Traffic will be stopped for 15 minutes or less in order to unload concrete bridge beams periodically throughout the day.
  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 8PM-6AM, The northbound lane of SR 109 will be closed in order to pour concrete or southbound for roadway construction.

DICKSON COUNTY, Bridge Repair I-40 over Nails Creek (MM 177.8) and Turnbull Creek (MM 179.9)

  • Friday September 14, 8PM through Monday September 17, 6AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for paving operations and bridge deck repair. (There will be no closures on I-40 eastbound on Saturday from 10AM to 3PM due to the Tennessee football game.)
  • Monday September 17 and Tuesday September 18, 8PM-5AM, There will be alternating lane closures on I-40 eastbound and westbound for paving operations.

Middle Tennessee

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday, September 19, 9AM-3PM, (excluding weekends), There will be possible lane closures at various locations on State Routes and Interstates in Middle Tennessee to patch potholes on an as needed basis:

I-24 Cheatham, Davidson, Montgomery and Robertson Counties

I-65 Davidson, Robertson, Williamson Counties

                I-40 Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Hickman, Humphreys Counties

Cheatham, Montgomery, Robertson & Sumner Counties

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, There will be periodic lane closures in each direction on I-24 from the 14 mile marker to the 32 mile for chemical control of vegetation. This will be a moving operation.  

Davidson County

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 9AM-3PM, and 7PM-1AM, There will be various shoulder closures in Davidson County for rock removal on all interstates. All lanes will remain open.
  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, 9AM-3PM, Highway 70 will be reduced to one lane between Old Hickory Blvd. and the Cheatham County line for ditch cleaning and trimming vegetation. Traffic will be controlled by the portable traffic light system in each direction.
  • Thursday September 13, 7PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 386 (Vietnam Veterans) westbound at mile marker 234 at the Davidson Sumner County line for milling and paving bridge ends. One lane will remain open.
  • Tuesday September 18, 7PM-3AM, There will be alternating lane closures on State Route 155 (Briley Parkway) in both directions between Exit 14A (Gallatin Pike/Madison) and Exit 11 (Opry Mills Dr.) for milling and paving. Two lanes will remain open.

Houston County

  • Thursday September 13 through Wednesday September 19, (excluding weekends) 9AM-3PM, there will be temporary lane closures for paving over replaced culverts at the following locations:
  • State Route 46 @ 5.5 Mile Marker to 6.5 Mile Marker
  • State Route 147 @ 4.0 to 5.0 Mile Marker                 

Smith County

  • Thursday September 13, 7PM-3AM, The right lane will be closed on I-40 westbound at mile marker 253 for

TDOT Utilities

  • Sunday September 16, 6AM-6pm, on I-40 approx. 0.85 Miles east of the I-40/I-24 split in Davidson County. This request by Nashville Electric Service for transferring conductors. Ten rolling stop blocks are expected. Will be using Flag Pros and ten metro police officers will be present.
  • From now through Thursday October 4, 7PM-6AM, On SR-258 on New Shackle Island Road from Volunteer Dr. to Iris Dr. in Summer County .This request by Hendersonville U.D. to open-cut into the roadway for the installation of approx. 3800’ of 16” water main. Proper lane closures signs and detours will be setup.
  • From now through Friday September 28, 9AM-3PM, On SR-65 Whites Creek Pike starting at Green Lane running north ending in front of Bates Nursery. This request by, Piedmont Gas Co. to install 4” gas main there will be temporary lane closures.
  • From now through Friday September 14,9AM-3PM, On SR-255 Harding Place starting at Timber Hill Drive to Danby Drive will be temporarily lane closures. This request by Nashville Electric Service for setting new poles for the Harding Road sidewalk improvements.
