TDOT to Hold Informational Meetings for Upcoming I-40/240 Project in Memphis

WHAT:          The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will host two community meetings to discuss the I-40/I-240, Phase ll Interchange Project that will begin this fall in east Memphis. The public is encouraged to attend the following meetings:

• Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
        St. Ann Catholic Church Community Center
     6520 Stage Road
     Bartlett, TN 38134
    
• Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
      Oak Grove M.B. Church
     7289 Highway 64
     Bartlett, TN 38133

DETAILS:

The Tennessee Department of Transportation will begin substantial improvements and upgrades to the I-40/I-240 interchange in Memphis this fall. The project will encompass Sam Cooper Boulevard to the White Station overpass, I-40 from Sycamore View to Covington Pike including the complete replacement of the bridge over the Wolf River, and I-240 to the north side of the Walnut Grove interchange. The project is expected to be completed by the summer of 2017. TDOT will issue frequent updates about this project once work begins.
