Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in Morgan County set for December 2

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – TDOT Commissioner John Schroer will join state and local officials in Morgan County on Monday, December 2, 2013 to celebrate the completion of the State Route 52 Improvements project.

The $14.8 million project has improved a 2.3 mile section from Brewstertown Road to the Scott County line with an enhanced two lane roadway with 12-foot lanes and 12-foot shoulders, as well as new bridge crossings over White Oak Creek and Little Creek.

Wednesday’s event begins at 1:30pm ET and will last approximately 20 minutes.

Directions:   From Jamestown, TN

Take Hwy 127 South from Jamestown to TN-52 East.  Follow TN-52 East for 15.4 miles.  Continue on TN-52 East (you are now driving on the newly completed project) for 2.0 miles. You will arrive at Bridge #1 (look for the sign that says Little Clear Creek). Pull off onto the shoulder on the East side of the Bridge.

From Huntsville, TN

Take Hwy 63 West to US-27 South for 1-mile.  Stay on US-27 South for 10.7 miles to TN-52 West (Stop & Go on corner Turn RT). Stay on TN-52 West for 6.0 miles. (Go past the Bridge at White Oak Creek.) Approximately ½ mile you will arrive at Bridge #1 (look for the sign that says Little Clear Creek). Pull off onto the shoulder on the East side of the Bridge.

From Wartburg, TN

Take US-27 North 20.2 miles. Turn left onto TN-52 West (Stop & Go on corner).  Stay on TN-52 West for 6.0 miles.(Go past the Bridge at White Oak Creek.) You will arrive at Bridge #1 (look for the sign that says Little Clear Creek). Pull off onto the shoulder on the East side of the Bridge.
